I ordered these bulbs because their dimensions seemed similar to the old burnt out bulb. When they arrived they were an exact fit, made my old flashlight brighter and I suspect will draw less power from the batteries. Compare the dimensions of the old bulb carefully and if they match I recommend buying them as a replacement.

Brighter and more reliable than the old incandescent bulb

Works to replace the old bulbs used for the old US Military Flashlights. Not very bright though, so it's better for low light needs.

The bulb only works OK when the batteries are fresh. At 3V, the bulb draws 0.1A, so 0.3W as advertised. The bulb is not too bright; the stated 30 Lumens is probably in the ball park. However, the bulb dims quickly when the battery drains. At 2.6V (1.3V per cell) which the alkaline battery still has over 50% capacity, it only draws 0.007A and is too dim to be usable. And rechargeable batteries do not work. NiMH is nominally 1.2V per cell; with 2 cell at 2.4V, the bulb does not even turn on at all. The Lithium Ion battery voltage is too high for this bulb. A better replacement bulb should have some electronics to regulate the voltage. So forget about reusing the old flashlight; it's not worth it. Just get a LED flashlight, which is cheaper than a replacement bulb.

After having had little success getting a drop-in replacement to replace the old incandescent bulbs for an old 3D cell Mag Light and an old cheap plastic 2D cell flashlight. I took a chance with these bulbs. The LED 3-volt upgrade bulbs I purchased before these have had a greenish tinge. Although better than the krypton bulbs, with a brighter, better light spread, I hated that greenish color. I kept sending them back and finally gave up and settled for the one with the least green. I gave this a final shot and wow, fits easily and produces a nearly all-white light. If you look closely, there is a very minimal greenish color at the center of the beam but for me, it's quite acceptable. These are not super beams that project and light up a football field. Not so brilliant that it hurts the eyes. It simply upgrades an old standard flashlight, even a Maglite, and gives more usable white light and life to old flashlights.
