I didn’t realize how tiny it is but perfect for my window ledge. I love that it comes with some emojis and that its magnetic. The only issue i have is tha letters slide on n off very easily and a few times while moving it all the letters fell off..

I'm using this as a back lighting for photographing microfilm. With a slight modification to the mounting of the plastic number holders, I'm able to slide in a 35 or 16 mm microfilm strip. This light is just right --- bright enough but not too bright to be glaring, so I can easily photograph the microfilm. I'm using the macro setting on my Panasonic FZ-18, and can get a full frame of microfilm photographed. It is quite readable when the resulting jpg is displayed on my computer. Assembling the individual jpgs into a slideshow, the entire microfilm reel is able to be viewed. I've tried other backlights, but they were too bright and caused glare and poor exposures. This is a cool light at a moderate and perfect intensity for this special application. A dollar store USB micro cable for a buck will save on batteries.

I have really struggled with what I was going to write. I purchased this for my niece who turned 12. She opened it and loved it! She thought is was so cool and was very excited to use it. I had purchased batteries for it so we were ready to use it. The screws on the back to open up the battery door are very sma and were kind of hard to remove. We finally removed them and my niece had an issue getting the batteries to stay in. This box takes 6 AA batteries, 3 per row. I also struggled with getting the batteries to stay without popping out. I finally got them in, put the cover on and screws back in. Turn it on and it lit right up. My niece was separating all of the letters and emojis and all of the sudden we heard a few pops and some sizzling. This was maybe 5 to 20 minutes after we put the batteries in. I smelled something burning and told her to give it to me right away. I took it over to the sink and opened it back up. The brand new batteries were leaking some sort of whitish ooze that I can only describe as spit. The box was really hot so I took the batteries out. I then realized that I had one of the six batteries going in the wrong direction. Now I am fully aware that is my fault however what I have an issue with is even though I had the batteries in the box incorrectly, the box still worked. I’ve never had an any item every work or turn on when the batteries are not placed correctly. The battery I had going through wrong way was the end battery up against the spring. That box should have never turned on and al I can say is thankfully I was there to assist my niece. That box was very hot and possibly could have melted or caught on fire. Very dangerous.

I purchased this with the intentions of writing some mushy quote on it for my significant other every now and then, the lights on it are VERY bright, which I have no issue with.! It comes with a good amount of letters and it even comes with emojis! This thing is such a cute decoration. I almost want to get one of the bigger ones too! I recommend this so much!

A great touch to my bedroom!

This light box is cute and usually when something is cute it means small. Just take a look at some of the posted photos for comparison. However, this isn’t a bad thing, it’s a perfect size for kids to hold in photos or to label something on a buffet. Just know what you are buying so you won’t feel mislead. I also like how bright it is, i was surprised about that.

So excited to finally have one for my classroom but sent it back. First of all you need 6 AA batteries and when I have 4 in it, it lit up no problem. It was super dull so I went ahead a put all 6 batteries in and no change. I hooked it up with the cord thinking it would make it brighter and no change!!! I sent it back and will look for another one. 2 stars because it came with lots of letters and emojis. Super sad!!!

Bought this as a gift for my 15 year old niece and she loved it. I also loved the item and appreciated that it comes with a remote. Super cute to display. The only thing that was bad about the item is the cheapness of the back plastic. The place where you put batteries is extremely hard to open. It would not open until we used a tool to crack it open. Thankfully, we did not break the plastic. The screws on there are unnecessary since it’s already so tight. While putting the batteries in, I noticed that if you fill an entire side with 3 batteries, the board will still light up, so 6 batteries is excessive. When putting the batteries on, place the middle ones last. Be careful when handing the letters, they are a bit sharp.

I have ordered a couple of different light boxes that came with very thin flimsy letters that the slightly move would cause the letters to fall out. These letters were thick so it keeps your message perfectly in place. An added bonus is the magnet at the back so you can leave cute messages on your fridge.

The Cinematic Light Box almost met my expectations... because I write messages in English and in French, I would have like to receive more letters! The light is powered by 6 batteries (not included) or by electricity if you have an adapter to plug it!

Great product! I made the mistake of not checking the size before I bought it so this particular model was a bit to small so I ordered the larger one which was exactly what I was looking for! Would definitely recommend this seller.
