QUALITY LEG BRACE
This product was recommended by the "bone" Dr., but they wanted to bill the insurance company $1400 for it. Many in the know say this is the BEST QUALITY BRACE avail. in this configuration. It is $200 from Amazon, but there's many that are almost as nice for less than $100. We bought the DonJoy Brand due to it being recommended and it's doing it's job already holding the leg from moving sideway that would work against healing. If you are smart out there, SO NOT ACCEPT UP CHARGING BY MEDICAL UNPROFESSIONALS - buy it yourself. You can get an excellent brace for $80 and there's almost no brace on the planet that's worth $1400.

Good brace for post ACL surgery
My surgeon recommended this brace to use after surgery to repair meniscus and ACL. I purchased this myself as a surgical supply house was going to charge my insurance company $450 -$700 for the same brace. It's well made and reasonably comfortable when you first put it on. Like any brace of this kind, it does get uncomfortable after wearing it a few hours. It's fully adjustable but I have thin legs so it tends to slip down so I need to keep retightening the straps.

Cumbersome, bulky, doesn't stay in place so it slides downwards. YOU MUST PAY FOR RETURNS!!!!!
To ensure there were no problems with a potential return I tried the brace on over some leggings. It was a very cumbersome, bulky brace. Additionally, no matter how tightly I cinched things up it would slide down to my ankle. It was size properly. It wasn't the fault of the legging/pants as they were not of a slick or slippery material. I just think the weight of the brace drags it downwards. Maybe if it is worn against the skin that problem might be lessened. But what if one sweated making the skin slippery? For $170.00 I didn't wish to take a chance the brace could not be return if I tried it on against the skin. Glad I didn't!!! Read further. It took a couple days to get approval for a return and when it was approved I was surprised by two things.1. unlike other braces I ordered off Amazon, including Breg and other high quality bracing companies, this company is requiring ME TO PAY FOR THE RETURN POSTAGE, and 2. when I read the fine print on the return information it states that the brace's packaging must not have been opened and it be in resalable condition."ALL PRODUCT RETURNS MUST BE UNOPENED AND IN RESALABLE CONDITION TO RECEIVE A FULL REFUND."Well how could anyone try on the brace to determine even if the size is correct without opening the plastic bag it is sent it??? This seems like very deceptive language. These conditions were not stated anywhere in the description for purchase. So even if I ship the product back to Honest Medical I have no guarantee that my money will be fully refunded because I opened the product.I'm glad I didn't try it on against my skin or they more than likely would not have approved the return at all. Approval of a return doesn't guarantee a refund.Edit 08/05/21: Working with Amazon and their AtoZ return process Amazon was able to get Honest Medical to pay for the return shipping fees This would never have happened without Amazon's terrific assistance. I tip my hat to them. They really came through on this issue and got Honest Medical to cover shipping costs when Honest Medical would not response to my emails about those costs.I have always liked DonJoy braces over the years and thought this might do the trick, but sadly it did not. I really liked their webbed design but it didn't have enough support for my current issues. However, I would never again purchase from this company Honest Medical. I think their practices are not in alignment with their name. Making me pay for postage and their deceptive fine print doesn't seem very "honest" to me.Although more expensive I suggest going to Breg's web site. They have an entire line of "unloading" braces that address either medial or lateral (inside or outside) knee pain that will service you better than this brace and this company. They even have a service that provides an on-line Dr who can write you an Rx for a brace and you can then submit those charges through your insurance. May be a better option depending on your insurance and your co-pay.If you have multi-compartmental osteoarthritis there isn't an un-loader brace that addresses that with the exception of one company - SpringLoaded. You may wish to check out their "bionic" type leg brace. Where I am going rather than trying joint replacement surgery just yet. Good luck.
