Eye Shield, 2 Pcs Plastic Shield Patch for Surgery Covering, Breathable Protection With 1 Roll Tape & 2 Elastic Rope, Clear

This helped assist my elderly grandma with dementia. The issue of concern was her taking if off forgetting she had surgery. No need to tape it (but you can) since there are straps which are adjustable, and provides a comfortable fit. Very functional, easy to assemble, and duriable. Provides good vision during healing.

NEEDS TO BE MORE INTUITIVE, IT WORKS WELL, BUT I COULDN'T FIGURE OUT THE STRAP SO I HAVE TO TAPE THEM.

I use these clear eye shields to cover my eyes when I go to bed at night because I use a sleep mask over the shields. I was getting tired of having to wash the sleep mask every few days -- didn't want to get an eye infection. When I had my cataracts removed, they gave me an eye shield for each eye. They were comfortable and that is when I realized they would solve my sleep mask problem. The eye shields are concave and do not touch the eye - only the rim around sits on your skin around the eye. I had to use tape to tape the shields on every night and then when removed in the morning the tape was not going to stick the next night and had to be thrown away. I realized this would get to be an expensive deal & the tape makes a mess of the eye shields. These eye shields come with thin elastic bands to put in the little holes of the eye shield and then I can put it around my ear. I cut a small piece of the elastic to bind the 2 eye shields together -- there are holes at the nose piece area to put the elastic and then I tied it together. I could have used the enclosed tape but did not want to. Used these shields last night and I hardly knew I had them on and slept all night. I hang the shields on my drawer knob during the day so they cannot get dirty or fall on the floor and maybe get stepped on by mistake. RECOMMEND to those who need them.

After my cataract surgery, I was required to wear a hard shield for a week. The shields the surgeon gave me required tape, and my fragile skin couldn’t tolerate the daily irritation on removal of the tape in the morning. I ordered this shield because of the elastic, and it was a big improvement; however, it was too tight and needed longer elastic for comfort. I had to put cotton balls under the straps in order to avoid deep grooves in my cheeks. A perfect idea, but needs a little improvement.

I read reviews that stated the elastic was not long enough. I think I have a normal sized head and short hair. For my head, the elastic was ample enough that I had to tighten it. I have not tried the tape yet as the elastic band kept the patch in place. This is a great price for this well made product!

Bought this for after my cataract surgery- thought the elastic would be better than the tape. First off the elastic is too small and it’s very uncomfortable. Plus I didn’t even get the tape that was supposed to come with it. So don’t buy it if you want to use it after your cataract surgery it’s a waste of money unless you use the tape and not the elastic.

They worked great after eye surgery protecting my eyes. Had to wrap the cord with medical tape. The thin cords cut into my head too bad. Otherwise happy with the purchase
