Yes look at all of the other grinders on that look the same with some charging $23.97 for the same grinder as others that are $13.97. This is the only different one out there - we learned from our first grinder and have made a new and improved version. The ergonomic feel combined with the enhanced burr and handle will make this the best manual grinder you have ever owned. What have you got to lose - if for any reason you think you can find a better one - we won't hesitate to give you your money back. Give us a shot and we know we won't let you down - because we know you need fresh grinds when you are ready for that next great cup of Coffee!

too fragile
Have to downgrade the review. I had liked it a lot - but like others have stated, the plastic sleeve that holds the grounds is too fragile. Broke about 45 days of use, despite taking extra caution. Not dropped or mis-threaded, it just fell apart inside while grinding. See photo of partial plastic on the grinder, piece on counter, and rest still in the hopper. Messaged the vendor w/ no response in a week. See previous review next.Better than expected. I can see how others may have issues with the plastic liner holding the grinds might break - so I am being extra cautious opening and closing it - also cleaning the grounds away from the lip helps prevent from getting stuck. The handle appeared awkward at first, but actually works great since it folds up to be flush with the diameter of the grinder, but doesn't come loose like others with the thumb screw or no retaining top - means I can grind longer w/o adjusting. It grinds more efficiently than my cylindrical handheld grinders - I think the triangular shape allows it to get a better bite on the beans in the hopper - great for harder beans like peaberry. Only wished it held about 25% more beans/grounds - slightly narrower and longer so it would fit in an Aeropress - but then it might now be wide enough to hold larger beans. Only concern is it seems to have the same plastic burr retainer that my others have that eventually crack and can't order replacements. Rendering good products useless for lack of 25 cent part - time will tel.

Good Grinder, Bad Handle
Grinder works OK, but, unfortunately, the handle broke after only a couple of uses. The so-called "ergonomic" handle is composed of two parts, joined by a rivet. The rivet was loosely attached on my grinder, so that with a little stress (while grinding), it simply failed, and the handle broke in two.Luckily, I have a hammer. With this (and a heavy piece of steel to pound against) I was able to re-attach and secure the rivet. So now my grinder is functional again. In my opinion, the handle on this grinder is poorly designed and cheaply made, and I can't recommend this grinder (unless the buyer is willing and able to repair it when it breaks).

It broke; I don't plan to buy another.
It does grind coffee and it is slow but you can't expect anything fast if you're looking for a manual coffee grinder. The grind size is consistent for drip brewing and espresso but it's more inconsistent when you get to the cold brew and french press coffee sizes.Another review recommended the triangle shape because it's easier to grip; that is false, you will never get a good grip on this grinder no matter the shape, it's just too small and short (definitely a travel size). Moreover, the triangle shape makes it hard to measure out the coffee grounds as the grounds stick in the corners that my tablespoon scoop cannot reach.Lastly, after a couple months of inconsistent use it broke (see attached photo, notice the chipped off and cracked areas of plastic) where the grinder connects to the ground holder and will no longer latch making it borderline useless unless I grind over a large mixing bowl.

Great customer service. They stand by their product.
The manufacturer stands by their product and it has a lifetime warranty. I was very satisfied with my grinder's performance and liked that the handle is physically attached to the grinder (unlike the round ones where you need to remove the handle to get the lid off). I had a problem with the plastic that attaches the bottom reservoir to the grinder cracking and I contacted the manufacturer via their website. They said they were aware of the problem and replaced the material with a more durable alternative and offered me a promo code to get a replacement (upgraded) chamber for only 20 cents. The grinders for sale now have the updated component, so you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If you purchased this grinder before they fixed the component then most likely you'll be fine, but if you have any problems just shoot the manufacturer a message for a resolution. I was very happy with their customer service and am now also very happy with their product. Also, I really like these manual hand grinders for my coffee. My personal opinion is that no part of making coffee should scare the daylights out of pets. Electric grinders are loud and annoying whereas the hand burr coffee grinder is intimate and relaxing. If you are using it to grind your beans to a fine powder for a keurig or something similar then it takes a minute or two to grind the beans down, but for courser grinds as you would want for a french press I can grind what I need in this device in about 20 seconds.

Good Coffee Grinder for Occasional Use
Good coffee grinder. Unfortunately it broke after 5 months. I used it maybe 2 - 3 times per week. It can produce 4 table spoons of grinded coffee in one time. Good things about it: small size, stylish design, easy to use, no maintenance, can be used during camping trips. Not so good things: the fact it broke. I still gave 4 stars because it worth money that I paid for it.Note to manufacturer. Cause of breakage could be a design flaw. Bottom part attaches to main part via three plastic gaps. Main part has different type of plastic than bottom. Plastic from main part seems stronger than from bottom part. Typically people would hold grinder by bottom part so turning moment is being passed via those three gaps. It seems that due to difference in strength between plastic types, gaps in bottom part broke.

Unit is not well made.
While this product worked fine the first 90 days of use, it never had 19 click grind adjustment settings as advertised. Maybe I received an older model for some reason. There is a threaded retainer that holds the grinder in place and provides a continuous grind adjustment from fine, when you screw it down pretty snug, to coarse, (e.g., for French Press use), when you loosen the retainer. Unfortunately the retainer has started loosening whenever I use the grinder and will actually come off mid-grind if I don't remember to tighten the retainer before every use. Now pieces of clear plastic from the lower section of the grinder have started to break off and fall into the ground coffee. I'm throwing it away. If you want a 90 day coffee grinder this is your product. Otherwise, don't buy one.
