For the price it’s good and gets the job dibs.
Easy to use. Very accurate. Easy to clean. The quality is good. Only thing worth noting is cell phone signals interfere with weighing. Make sure to not set your phone right next to this device while using. It will cause numbers to jump around. That being said it’s still a great product for the money.

Perfect for weighing espresso doses
This isn't any good for pour over techniques. It has no fancy bluetooth connection and does not time your shot but, for a very low price, it does a lot to improve your espresso technique starting with measuring your grinder's retention which is very important when you are single dosing and, of course, knowing the dose in the portafilter. For that purpose, what you need is 0.1g precision which means you need to get reapeatable results. For example, ideally the scale would show the same number when it weighed the same amount of coffee as beans or ground so that you know any difference in the number would be due to retention. I have been brewing my own espresso for over ten years and have used four or five scales that claimed to have the 0.1g precision. None did. Sometimes they would be off as much as 0.5g. For this purchase I decided to go with one that claimed 0.01g. I just got this scale and, of course, it does not have 0.01g but you can trust it to 0.1g which is all you need for brewing espresso. I just did the testing using single coffee beans. Besides not having the fancy extras, it does have the limitation of 500g so it is not good as a general kitchen scale but, with the low price, you can afford to get another scale for that. And 500g means you can use it to measure the liquid in the cup while you are brewing so that you can get whatever liquid to dose ratio you prefer. It is low enough that you can fit it below your cup. You are going to need a separate timing device for your shots but many of the new espresso machines have a built in timer. I have not found any scale with a timer that claims 0.01g precision. They are all designed for pour overs with 3000g or as a minimum 2000g limits and 0.1g precision and many reviewers complain that the precision is exaggerated. That includes the supposedly premium scales that cost over $200. I just got this scale today and cannot vouch for durability but I do not see any flimsy materials.

Great for espresso!
We use this to weigh our beans and espresso shots at home. It works great and I love that it measures out to two decimal places for an accurate shot weight. The only issue I’ve had with it is taring multiple times when it’s turned on. It won’t always set back to zero and jumps around a bit. Usually turning it off and back on a time or two will fix it. Not a huge deal but a little bit of a pain. Overall, it’s a great size and I like it!

Perfect
This works great for the kitchen. The size is perfect. So easy to find a place to store it out of the way. Super easy to clean and the display is bright enough to see from a side view.

99% as accurate as my 4 beam balance!
I have been using an Ohaus 4 beam centi-gram balance for my photochemical measurements for 40 years. It has several disadvantages including being very slow to balance everything out accurately and susceptible to breezes. So I thought I would join the 21st century of Chinese inexpensive imports. I selected this scale among many offerings because of it's always on feature. Btw, my scale came with that working right out of the box. Some have reported it was a procedure to be figured out. So right off the get-go looks good. So now the acid test, how accurate is it? The four beam scale is accurate to 100th of a gram and gravity always works and is consistent, so it is always accurate to the extent the operator works slowly and accurately. I tried it out on a number of items sitting around, for instance, a nickel. On my balance it weighed in at 4.95 G, on the new scale 4.94. Wow! Another item weighed in at 1.06 G on both, although the scale tended to jump off of that number now and then and hunt around a little bit. But it's pretty easy to figure out which is the dominant reading. On another test with 4.72 g the balance I got 4.74 on the scale. This is more than accurate enough for my needs. Ymmv.

Good for bud but so so for DIY vape juice
Update; After 586 days the scale has finally given up the ghost. I should have tried to get it replaced while it was under warranty because it was always a bit wonky. About 3-4 months ago (3 months or so past the 12 month warranty) it really started acting up. I could say it was possessed by a mean spirited little sh|t that liked screwing with my head and would pass a polygraph 9/10 times. It's a sad day since I'll be outta juice before I can buy a replacement. I wish the quality control was better because I really liked the design, too bad I've had a couple. While the first AMIR scale was off by .05g, it was easy enough to adjust my measurements and I was cool with that because it was still more accurate than a .1g scale and it was priced well. That scale, exact same one as my Oct 10th 2018 purchase, it lasted just over 1 year before it decided to go off to stay with it's uncle, on his big farm. I figured it was for the best, on the farm it would have all the room to run and play, oh crap that's where the dog went, not the scale. The scale found it's way into file 13 AKA the trash. Since I've had 2 of these now and neither one making it to the 2 year mark I'm gonna have to drop it another star & I may have to try another brand or type of scale that reads .01g x 500g or .001g x 200g if I can find one at a decent price or I'll get a .001gx 100g and make smaller batches of juice, more frequently. Sory AMIR it was fun while it lasted, I'm sure you'll find the right guy for you, it's just not gonna be me. Dammit that's what I told the "real" blonde Brittany last month. Real blondes don't have brown drapes, right? Anyways I must say so long to my fairweather friend AMIR, it's been real &^ maybe we can try hanging out again once the weather gets nicer or you start making scales with better parts or quality control but, until then BYE BYE sorry about dropping you to 2 stars. If I buy another AMIR and it's accurate I'll bump you back up to 4 or 5 stars. I purchased this scale for making my own e-juice and it does so so to okay. It started off pretty close giving me readings that were + or - .01 different than the beaker that I use as a tare. After 20 or so uses the .01 grew to + or -.01-.03 which I could still work with by figuring that into the calculations but now there is a different reading between the tare weight and reading before and after using the tare. Sometimes it works great and other times the .01 portion will float around, after it settles I'll pick it up and set it back down several times and it will give me upto 4 different readings. It depends on the ingredients that are in each recipe. For flavorings that are very strong a difference of one or 2 drops can make or break a recipe and the same can be said for finishers like EM, Sweeteners sour and others. For recipes that use small amounts of strong flavorings or finishers I feel more comfortable counting a few drops than depending on the scale. With other flavors that typically have much larger %'s like TFA Ripe Strawberry and other fruit flavors the close but no cigar reading is just fine, it beats counting 60 or 70 drops. I'm not trying to be knit picky because it's not that big of a deal for me and my uses. I've got a decent collection of flavors I make 30, 40,60 and 120 ml of, so I don't make many taster size recipes that accuracy down to .01 is necessary. Compared to the amount of juice I use to dump down the drain using a .01 scale and counting drop I've definitely saved enough money that this scale is paid for and have enough left over to spend $20 on a .001 scale. If you weren't confused enough before reading this, you are now. My job here is done (mic drop). But seriously, i hope this review will help the picky picky folks out there pick a $20 .00 gram scale. For all you stoners and sloppy jalopy juice makers dis scale b jus fine.;-}

Very handy
The scale is very accurate above 0.05 grams. It needs just that little bit of weight to get a good reading so if you’re measuring 0.01-0.04 then you might be better off with another type. However, for my baking (bread and pizza dough’s) that call for 0.1 gram accuracy and above, this is a great product. Just note the limit of 500 grams so if you are baking larger amounts (multiple loaves or cakes, for example) then you may need two scales (which I have for this very reason - these one’s up to 500g and another brand that go up to 2kg).
