I use this cam for the front since my car does not have parking assist at the front. I connected easily through the licence plate, you see no wires, and if needed to disconnect you can reach it easily. Connected directly to the 12V battery, and works great! It will not drain the battery because it draws a small amount of current. If you do not use the car for a long time use a charger to maintain the battery, and disconnect the cam! great cam very happy.

This is pure junk; don't waste your money. The camera would not connect to my iphone - I used the USB powercord and the app could not find the camera so then I hooked it to the backup light in my car and when I put it in reverse the camera could not find my iphone. I bought another one with the same results. Do not waste your money, this is Chinese crap
