Pretty good
So far pretty good. Downside would be the cable needed to use the grip shutter button but its no that big a deal. This particular deal comes with 2 batteries and remote. Others just have the remote.A battery grip REALLY gives you much more grip confidence with your camera. A lot more surface to grab its totally with it when the a 6500 is $1400I'm using it with the sigma f1.8 18-35(heavy!) and the mc-11 adapter so this battery grip really makes a difference.Important to know about the battery usage to avoid confusion. It does not combine both batteries and make it look like one big battery. It drains one battery and automatically switches to the other battery when the first one is drained. It definitely freaks you out thinking you are done but then it kicks in to 100% again. Although that's fine it forces you to keep track of whether its on the first battery or the last. If you are recording and think you are on the 1st battery but you're actually on the 2nd battery the camera will cut off on you when it drains. Always have 2 spares fully charged.

Great budget grip, issue with battery life.
Overall it's a decent grip for the money. Adds much needed surface area to the A6500, the texture on the grip is good even during a long shoot, build quality seems ok but needed more time to really determine.• main issue is: the grip reads each batteries life individually and switches to the second battery at around 25% battery life. It does this with the provided batteries as well as Sony batteries. So be diligent when shooting/recording.• cable required for button use. This may or may not be a problem. I used mine too film a wedding on a Ronin SC and had the record option through the gimbal, so not a big deal for me.• provided batteries, although higher mAh than Sony did not last as long. I got noticably longer record times out of my Sony batteries.I do recommend this grip for anyone looking for a budget option to extend shoot time without changing batteries and to increase the overall grip and hand feel of your A6500.

Works fine, doubles battery life
I have been shooting basketball games where I almost always turn my Sony A6500 camera 90 degrees to use it in portrait mode. This grip allows me to have a more natural grip on the camera, has a nice shutter button, and with two batteries installed it lasts twice as long (which we all know is an issue on the Sony 6000 series cameras). It works fine for me. I wish it didn't have three parts that have to be kept together and assembled but it's not that big a deal. The remote is nice but I already have a small remote. However this once also has an intervolmeter which is a bonus.

Proper fitment
it's one of those cases where it Unfortunately worksIt only works if I do 2 things1. Put a pice of paper folded up between the grip and the camera on the left side2. Slide the camera back on the right sideOtherwise it simply won't turn on.It feels great in the hands and does do what it's supposed to however I don't feel 100% comfortable holding the camera by just the grip out fear it will turn off on me and if I tighten it down more the plastic starts to bendI'm just not happy with it

Ergonomically beneficial.
Great! I have large hands and this makes the small sized 6500's ergonomics more manageable. Like having 2 battery slots. Can shoot longer and although I've yet to shoot 4K video with the camera, I'm "guessing" that having the batteries in an external enclosure will reduce heat buildup in the body?

Makes a better grip on my camera
Makes a better grip on my camera, works great. Reason why I’m giving it 4 stars is I feel like the material is a little cheap. Overall it’s a good product though, and I would recommend it.

Works Great!
This is a great value. It fits on my Sony A6500 perfectly. Feels nice and solid, and gives me a great grip on the camera. I just like the feel even when I am not using the vertical shutter release. I haven't really used the remote yet, so I can't really comment on that. I would recommend this grip.

Adds a level of comfort to holding the camera.
Worked great for when I use to use an adapter an a sigma lens. This grip gave the right level of stability and comfort to holding it. My copy seams to not lock tight completely but good enough.

A good addition to the Sony camera
I have big hands and find the Sony a great camera but a little small to hold. This grip fits well and has the advantage of 2 batteries. The cons are that you don't know if you are on battery 1 or 2 as the level displayed is for the currently in use battery and that the second shutter button needs an external cable to function (a camera limitation). It would be good to have additional function buttons on the grip and in particular the ability to have a back button focus button as I don't use the shutter button to focus.I use the grip as additional real estate for holding and for the extra battery, I don't use the shutter button and just adjust my hold to use the on camera ones - it works for me and for the price I think is well worth it if you have the same issues as me size wise but don't expect any duplication of the camera buttons.

Battery grip
This bit of kit does the job perfectly. But the manual is poorly translated. I had to use YouTube to find out how to use the remote.

Increases the comfort a lot
The a6500 is quite small and in photoshoots and events my fingers get tired. This is a gamechanger for prolonged shooting and making the camera more stable
