Hi mate, I don't understand the jargon. Is this an electric screwdriver?

It's a battery powered driver, which give you a wonderful "impact" torque.  I had never had an impact driver before, had struggled with electric and battery powered screwdrivers, trying to drive screws into hard wood, treated fence posts, etc.  When I took on the project to tear out carpet and install cement board and porcelain tile in my family room, I knew it would wear me out trying to drive hundreds of screws into the cement board under layment.  So, I bought this impact driver.  It is amazing!!!!  I don't know how I lived so long without an impact driver!  I am a 60+ year old woman (who has more tools than the average man), and I now can drive just about anything without messing up my wrists or shoulders.  I use it for almost everything now.It has 2 batteries, which is really nice when working on a big project like laying my 400+ square feet of cement board.  Each piece took about 30 screws.  When the driver battery started wearing down, I popped in the new battery and continued working.  By the time I had nailed the board and cut the next bunch of cement board, the other battery was fully charged and ready to go again.I also like the balance of this driver, properly weighted and not too big or heavy.  You can't go wrong with this Bosch.  If you're looking for a cordless screwdriver, forget the standard ones and get a good impact driver.  Tip:  start using the star bits and screws ... they're much less likely to strip out than the Phillips screws when driving deep into hard wood.

I got it today. After pulling up the ring and putting the bit into the socket, the bit still can move a little back and forth. Is this normal?
