Graco 244515 1/4" x 1/4", 3000 PSI Magnum Straight Hose Swivel

I picked this up because I was constantly having to re-orient my spray gun and hose because it was getting twisted. The swivel works, it's a bit tight and takes a little bit of efforts to swivel but it does its job. I do think it is very overpriced but I guess that's what you get when you buy name brand products.

Good quality, works good, however it is a bit on the stiff side you have to use your other hand to turn the spray gun after installation might loosen up

The first time I used my Graco airless sprayer, I was constantly fighting the stiffness of the hose. It was constantly trying to rotate my spray gun away from the direction I was trying to point it. I added this swivel to the hose where it attaches to the gun and the problem was resolved. The hose no longer tried to twist the spray gun in my hand. It's not cheap, but for me the increased ease of use was worth the money spent. Some reviews mentioned the swivel not moving properly or leaking. I had no such problems. I tightened it with a wrench when I installed it and it never leaked a drop. The swivel had some resistance to it and it did not flop around freely, but it did allow the gun to rotate without interference from the hose. It worked exactly as intended.

Not the greatest thing but for the price, it does the job. The turnaround is not smooth.

What I don't understand is why don't they sell the exact same swivel that they put on their nicer guns that are sold separately (maybe they come with some spray pumps. I don't know their whole lineup). A year or so ago I bought a nice sprayer that came with a line. Maybe $250 or so. I think Sherman Williams had a deal on it. Anyways, it works great and comes with a compact swivel. I want to buy that exact swivel, but it doesn't look like Graco sells it separately. So I bought this assuming it would work just as good, but it definitely doesn't. Sure it'll swivel slightly, but you'll definitely still feel the resistance in your wrist. It's better than not having 1 at all, but that's not saying a whole bunch. Oh and Ill add that when there's no pressure in the line, you can swivel it and you'll think, yeah this is nice! Although once you turn the pump on and pressurize the system, it stiffens up a LOT.

Great value easy to install swivels doesn’t leak.

The joint swivels easily. I did not have any of the stiffness problems described in another review. No leaks. Works perfectly.
