Well Pack Box Wooden Pirate Treasure Chest 8 x 6 x 4.25 with 144 Plastic Coins Authentic Paper Pirate Commission Real World Brown Nautical Paper Map

Got this for my 6 years old little boy who recently took a liking with anything pirate related and treasure stories/movies. The box is made of real wood, has quite a bit of weight, and made to look worn out/aged. It is decorated when a copper colored tin metal, the strips are slightly raised but I was able to lay it down by putting a pressure on it and also to avoid any cutting accident that may result from it. It is a good buy and comes with golden plastic coins, an invitation from a "pirate" and a treasure map. My little boy is lugging it around and it actually took some time away from playing with his tablet all day.

I was pleased with this chest. The only minor issue is that some of the coins looked a bit burnt, but for a Halloween display at dark, no one is going to see anything. The chest itself was really nice, the map was quite small, about the size of a sheet of copy paper. I thought about buying more coins, but there were plenty to go around and stack in piles for a pirate theme Halloween display.

This is a very nice box except for two things. The bottom is just glued on, no tacks or tiny nails. I had to glue it back because it came half unattached. Also the clasp fits fine but there is no space left for a lock. Other than that it's made of good wood and has decent construction. Plus I like the look of it.

The only bad part is the screws came loose very easily. We had to fix it the first day my son received it.

Very sturdy wooden chest and everything is well made on it even to the black things on top. Just wish it had a lock and key but I need this size so it’s wonderful!

Purchased this chest because it states that it is 9” x 7” x 5” In the item description, which is what I specifically searched for as I have a container of cremains sized exactly 8.5” x 6.5” x 4.5” which I prefer not to open. A wood box the size needed is much harder to find than I ever thought - and then I find this box with these dimensions in the item description, which turned out to be utter bologna. The exterior dimensions of this chest are 8” x 6” x 4.25”, didn’t bother to measure the inside. Did not really want to go for an urn type box as they are ridiculously expensive for a wood box and are not even made of 100% wood, as this chest seems to be. I NEED a wood box as these cremains need to go through TSA screenings.This is a perfectly nice wooden chest, ended up keeping it anyway. The wood is a bit dinged in a spot or two, the stain and polish is unevenly applied and a few noticeable spots were missed, (already ordered wood staining sticks that I needed anyway) but it’s a nice treasure chest. The metal straps on the lid are raised where they cross over each other, pushed them down with a fingernail but that didn’t quite do it. The plastic gold coins are not gold, they’re silver, which is even better.Uh, seller? Changing your description to read 8” x 7” x 5” does not change the fact that your dimensions are still totally off. My pics are there to prove it. Bah humbug to a dishonest seller.Hahaha, seller changed description to read 8” x 6” x 4.25”. Guess a picture was worth the words.

After looking at several boxes for a treasure chest I chose this one. Everything else was smaller than presented or cheesy. Don't let the plastic coins fool you. This box is big and well built. Perfect gift for my grandson to begin saving silver in.

I received the treasure chest without anything else. Very disappointing!
