Practical, convenient adapter, works as advertised
Adapter converts an analog signal in, such as aux or rca plugs, to optical out for improved sound quality. Some soundbars with a usb port will power this small unit, eliminating the need for an outlet. Very convenient and provides better sound quality to system. You can add a speaker system to an existing system by splitting a channel out and sending that channel to this adapter and plugging into the optical input on second system for surround sound upgrade.

3.5mm feed to a optical soundbar and works great!
I didn't think this would sound any good but I needed it to make it work with my setup. But I was shocked that the audio actually sounded great when converting 3.5mm to optical. Fair warning the type of 3.5mm cable really made a difference and type of optical helped but the 3.5mm really was the main difference at least for me. Great Analog to Digital converter!

Good product
The product is a good addition to my system. Connects my CD Player to the Pre-Amp and functions well. Optical cable requires some pressure to fit it in securely to the Pre-Amp input.

Watch out
Stopped outputting sound 5 months after purchase. Still powers on, but optical audio stopped being produced. Did standard trouble shooting. Device is getting proper power. I got sound working when I ran audio in a way to remove this device the my audio setup entirely. Unable to exchange or return through Amazon. Thanks for stealing my money.

Exactly as I expected and good price
Works exactly as you'd expect. I used it to hook up a record play to a sound bar. Sound output sounds good and the built feels like it's built well. Can't beat it for the price.

Initial impressions
Am using this to hook up a record player to a soundbar via optical cable. This ADC actually came with an optical cable which was very welcomed. Product did exactly what I needed it to do.

Worked for awhile
Worked for awhile then began to buzz for TV even though other devices work fine. Not an electric genius so may have to dig deeper to see what the problem is. Could be bad wire or crossed wire according to Google. Apparently TVs are a problem issue. So wanted this to work. If you're not looking for connection between TV and tuner, for cd, bluetooth unit, and record player, this should be fine.

I recently purchased this HDMI audio converter/adapter specifically for my PlayStation 5 gaming setup. Here’s how I set it up and why I’m giving it a full 5 stars: My Setup: • PS5 connected to my monitor via HDMI. • Monitor’s audio out to this adapter using a 3.5mm cable. • Adapter’s optical out to my soundbar for powerful, lag-free gaming audio. What I Loved: • Simple Plug-and-Play: Connecting my PS5’s HDMI to the monitor, and then using the 3.5mm jack from the monitor to the adapter, was super straightforward. No extra configuration needed. • Seamless Audio Extraction: The adapter flawlessly pulls audio from the HDMI input and allows output through both 3.5mm and optical ports. My soundbar received crystal clear sound via optical, making gameplay and movies sound amazing. • Zero Latency, No Sync Issues: Audio sync perfectly. I noticed no lag whatsoever, even during fast-paced gaming sessions. • Great Build Quality: Feels sturdy and looks sleek. All ports are well-labeled and connections are secure. Tips for Others: • Make sure your monitor has a working 3.5mm audio output (headphone jack). • You can use the optical port for maximum-quality digital audio to your soundbar, which is perfect if your soundbar lacks an HDMI ARC port. • This adapter is perfect for setups where the PS5 doesn’t have a dedicated optical out. Final Thoughts This is a must-have accessory if you want to route your PS5’s audio to a soundbar through an optical cable—even if your monitor only has a headphone jack! The audio extractor works flawlessly, video quality is preserved, and the gaming experience is elevated to a cinematic level. Highly recommended for any gamer! You won’t be disappointed!
