A Hot Mess. . . (In A Good Way)
Wow this book was crazy. It is definitely a page turner from the very beginning. Up to No Good has some VERY unexpected twists and turns. . . It slightly reminds me of something the wonderful author Allison Hobbs would write. Anyway, this novel is awesome. It is a quick read (probably because the font is so big) and is packed with drama drama drama.James Black is a 48 year old successful business owner, father to Jamie and Darnel, and honest womanizer who has never been a committed relationship. That is until he meets his daughter's young friend Sandra and unexpectedly falls in love with her. Jamie Black his 25 year old daughter works for him and is a totally Daddy's Girl. She hates every woman he pays attention to but has to back up from meddling in his sex life when she becomes suspicious of her live in boy friend Louis cheating. Darnel, James' other child walks in on his finance' and best friend having sex the night before their wedding. He is very distraught and acts even more crazily throughout the rest of the book once he finds out more and more secrets about his ex fiance Keisha. One would never guess the events that take place and what happens to all of these characters. I would definitely recommend this book! Go Carl Weber!

Another Page Turner
Carl Weber knows how to make page turners and this book follows in line. When I bought the book I knew automatically that I wouldn't be disappointed. Carl has several sequels of this book out there and I recommend that one read them all.

This one left me on the fence.....
I must start off by saying I am a huge fan of Carl Weber...I am still tripping off "So you call yourself a man" and "1-900 Looking for Luv". So by no means am I taking this time to downgrade his work. However, this one left me in the gray area. Is it in the category with those previously mentioned?...no. But it is not as bad as the First Lady either. There was something missing and I can not put my finger on it. All in all I enjoyed the book but it missed that Weber flair his books normally have. Nothing with the characters, they served their purpose which helped the flow of the book....even though if I ever met someone as week as Darnell, I will whip him personally. The book was a little predictable, but the fast pace kept you interested enough to make sure your assumptions were correct. I liked it enough to be wishing there is a part two. I need to see what happend next!!Good quick read, but if this is your first time doing Weber, grab a previous book then do this one. Then you will understand why I consider him great!!

what the....
Did we all read the same book!? this book was all over the place and left me very upset. James was a ole school playa that basically told you what it was and how it was going to be, have to respect him for that. if only all men could be so up front women would be a lot better off. I really liked his character and felt this could've been the entire book without question.Jamie was interesting i loved her possesiveness when it came to her father but the whole Louis saga could've been ommitted made no sense in this book. the whole witness protection mess and the family after him to me made little sense at all for the book being called up to no good. Louis was up to good trying to survive.Darnell was a man that loved deeply, vowed not to be his father when it came to the woman in his life all that being attentive, slow love making and being a "gentleman" backfired in his face big time. Keisha turned out to be his father in heels with her promiscous ways. Darnell took scorned lover to another level and i found myself being sick of it and him.up to no good was misleading especillay the cover, had absolutely nothing to do with the book. carl could've let the story be either James black with the kids involved in that or even darnell's since he had more meat to offer in his story. Jamie's situation was thrown in for what???i thought Preacher's wife would be the only book of carl's that i would say wasn't good but this one although it held my attention more than preacher's wife will be added to that list.i see he's coming back with a part two to something on the side. i hope this one brings it back home for carl because the first one sure did after that fiasco with PW.

The author writes effortlessly and weaves an interesting tale. The characters were believeble.
I liked everything about the story. Once again, the ebb and flow of the writing was both enjoyable and entertaining. The characters, though flawed, were compelling. I also enjoyed the exploration of the characters. Real people with real feelings. I can't wait to read more from this author. Real people revealed on time and in time.

Shocked
I was shocked this book read a little more predictable than the previous books in this series. None the less it was still a good page turning book. Yet again another plus for Mr. Weber.
