Saved my tree.
I'm glad I purchased this product; my tree was in bad shape, and I trimmed it and fed it with The Old Farmer's Almanac Tree & Shrub Fertilizer Spikes. My tree is starting to look healthy again. And these were so easy to use. I would buy these again.

Really Great fertilizer stakes
Last year I purchased two boxes of this product to fertilize my newly purchased fruit trees and rose bushes. I was suprised and impressed with these spikes maintained my fruit trees and the produce restored my Azelea bush that had been sickly looking for a year...I bloomrd beautifully after adding a stake to root of this plant. These kept my fruit trees healthy. I have implemented this solution to garden tool kit to maintain my trees and bushes. I love organic ingredients in these plant spikes.

The plants looked die 2 years ago. I don't have a lot of room in front of are house so it is Hard to drive the spikes in the groundnut with the aded of a crow bar I can twist a hold in the ground to push the spikes in.

Lifesaver!
TL;DR Saved my struggling dogwood. Drove them in last fall, and the tree bloomed like crazy this spring.I had a beautiful but struggling dogwood in my front yard. Its blooms were more of a brownish cream than the bright white I'd remembered and the leaves came in a yellower shade of green than I thought looked healthy. I wasn't sure if I was remembering it with rose-colored glasses or if the tree was in actual decline. Last year settled it. My once-beautiful dogwood looked like crap all spring and summer, even in bloom. So last fall I ordered 6 of these fertilizer spikes and drove them in a ring about 10ft out from the trunk. This spring my dogwood exploded in bright white blooms. It wasn't white flowers here and there, the whole tree was washed with glowing white blooms. As it leafs out the foliage is thick with lush green coloring. The comparison to last year is night and day.One piece of advice: I tried to drive them in with a hammer last fall like they were nails and the spikes broke apart pretty easily. This year I bought another batch for some shrubs out back and I stuck them in the ground by hand, stepped on them to sink them down and then drove them below the surface with a few light thumps from a digging bar. You could probably use a piece of fire wood or 2x4 to do the last part. I like to get them down well below the the surface, about 6 inches (don't go too nuts, you might have utility lines down there!).

Spikes don’t break
Not sure yet on the product effectiveness but they did not break when driving them in. That’s a promise they fulfilled.
