Murray's Superior Hair Dressing Pomade 3 oz. per Jar (2 Pack)

In terms of price, performance and how much you get this stuff is a knock out of the park. I've used it since the early 2000's when I found it in the PX. I'm a white dude with straight-ish hair so I know I'm not the intended market, there's no way I'm sportin' waves. But for short hair styles the hold is excellent and then, in a few hours, it just fades into the hair so it doesn't feel sticky, crunchy or gross. It just feels like my hair and it looks healthier. You can skip spending $12 for american crew, this is way better and a single can will last me anywhere from 8-13 months. Just make sure you work it around in your hands to warm it up first or it may pull out a few hairs if you apply it too strongly ;)

Murray's pomade has been a long-standing favorite, ever since I discovered it's existence, which I can't recall, off-hand. It might have been around the beginning of my college years, because I tried to dreadlock my hair, and I picked up some Murray's Beeswax, which is similar to this product, although more waxy and firm. The firmness of hold, as a petroleum-based product, is unmatched, in my experience, with other products from different manufacturers. A comparison of the products is completely unbalanced - on one side, there's this product, which is petroleum based, but it's much thicker than Vaseline, for example, and not nearly as greasy. It's difficult to compare other pomade products to this one, because the ones I encounter, from other brands, are somewhat akin to hair gel, with some thickener added to it, perhaps. This product is definitely not liquid, at all. It's somewhat like a nearly evaporated paste, which is perfect for my thick hair.

I have used this pomade for over 30+ years. Keeps your hair in place and does not leave it dry and flaky. A cool sheen look that always gets me compliments.

I spike my hair it works very well if you know how to apply it.

This is excellent for 360 waves . Our hair texture is super compatible to lock in with a first after your brush session ! Had to represent ! Non greasy smells good holds well and value is two for one !
