Heritage & Culture
"If you’re looking for that authentic, bold, Latin-style espresso, this is it. Café La Llave never disappoints. It’s dark, rich, and has that distinct aroma that reminds me of a real ventanita in Miami. I use it daily in my Moka pot to make a classic Cafecito Cubano with the perfect espumita. It’s strong enough to wake you up but smooth enough to enjoy every sip. A staple in my kitchen!"

Bold, Smooth, and Full of Flavor – A True Espresso Lover’s Dream
Cafe La Llave is hands down one of the best dark roast espresso blends I’ve tried. The beans are fresh, aromatic, and deliver a rich, full-bodied flavor with a smooth finish. Perfect for making Cuban-style cafecito or straight espresso shots. No bitterness, just deep, bold coffee goodness. The 2-pack is a great value, especially if you go through coffee quickly like I do. Highly recommend for anyone who loves strong, authentic espresso!

Best Coffee ever
This is truly the best coffee I’ve ever had — rich, smooth, and full of flavor. It works perfectly with my Breville Barista machine and makes a delicious espresso every single time. The aroma fills the kitchen, and every cup tastes like a real Cuban café. I’ve tried many brands, but nothing compares to Café La Llave. Highly recommended for anyone who loves strong, authentic coffee!

Bold yet smooth espresso and not overly expensive
I could be called a coffee snob, or just someone who grew up drinking coffee. My wife and I started drinking more espresso about 25 years ago and we're dropping a lot of $$ at expensive coffee shops till we took the plunge and bought our own espresso makers and grind our own beans. These beans are by far one of the best you will find at the price point they offer. They have a robust flavor you get from a darker roast without the burnt overtones and acidity you can get from some. So a bold yet smooth taste that does not sacrifice what most want out of their cup of espresso. Out of the 12 or so brands I have tried these are now my favorite and bonus...they are not the most expensive.

Super product and Price!
Not a bitter as Petes but better body. Creme is very good! I would rank the top three as Starbucks as it is great taste and affordability and then Pete's, I think it might be a great option for people that like to put flavored creamers in their coffee so they can retain some of the bite on this coffee on the top especially if you like to drink it straight!

A LOT OF REALLY GOOD ESPRESSO BEANS
La Llave (The Key) was founded in Cuba in 1870. Its parent company is minority- and family-owned and operated, not a conglomerate branch. It only does coffee, and it's located in California, where it roasts the beans. La Llave is great Cuban-style espresso, which means it's strong, rich and slightly sweet, not smoky. Judging by the sizes and colors of the beans, they are a complex blend. They can be ground quite fine without producing the sticky residue of an oily black roast that clogs up grinders and espresso filter baskets. If you like the smoky edge, blend in some shiny black French roast beans and find your balance. La Llave in brick form is quite dark and ground perfectly for a home espresso machine, and the wrapper with a chip clip makes a fine container. I haven't tried the grind that comes in a can or the aluminum pods.
