Followed all steps- stones dull and not shiny at all
Followed all the steps in the right order. Ran the tumbler for over a month through all the steps. In the end, all of my stones are now a dull matte finish and not even as shiny as they were before they went through the processes. I don't blame this product completely- all of these kits seem about the same as far as materials go- I just think the whole process is a waste of money, time, electricity, and misrepresented as 'stone polishing'. Completely ruined my emerald, rubies, sapphires, opals, and tourmaline as well. I will have to hand polish the ones that are still large enough to secure, or coat them with something to get a shine out of them now. And some of them just ended up too small or even sand like.

Not 4 but 5 stages of polishing. A good buy.
The kit has 4 stages of tumbling grit (12oz), plus one fine polishing liquid grit, (12 packets). There's a scoop but grit amount is determined by tumbler size so it's good for dispensing grit but not really for measuring. The kit is as advertised but has two small flaws. One the grit size is not listed on the bottles, and the instruction sheet is written very small. Because the grit size is not listed, being precise is difficult. I think this is a good buy.

Shiny 🤩
Excellent product. Fast shipping. After gathering rocks with my grandkids we polished them for keepsakes of their time spent with grandma and grandpa for the summer. 👍

Great bottles, amount, & price
Good price for amount. Love that it came with a measuring scoop in well resealable bottles. The grit seems appropriate although I'm still learning and trying to get to the perfect shine.

Does not polish
I would not recommend this grit set if you want polish that actually works. Their version of "polish" is just another type of grit and not polish at all. Steps 1-3 work well. Step 4 does not

Really easy to set up with nice and simple instructions. Done the first stage on one set of stones, and first lesson learned. Use stones of a similar size! Before I go onto stage 2, I'll go back out and get more of the smaller stones to make a complete batch. Then go through the other 3 stages in one go. Stage 1 was run for a week on speed 3. VERY effective at getting rid of the rough and sharp edges. Due to the rubberised drum, it was a lot quieter than I expected. With a quick check online, I discovered that if you stood the machine on a folded up towel it makes it even quieter! I'll update this as I progress. Very happy so far. 😊
