is there a setting for a slow flow, not a mister, to use in watering outdoor potted plants without spraying the leaves?

I use the "shower" setting for an easy flow, but I do water the leaves. Why not?

I purchased this because it said it had a soaker option, but it doesn't seem to have this option. Which nozzle has a soaker option?

My vegetation is on an irrigation system, and so my use of this sprayer is mostly for pot plants. However, you might want to try switching the spray option ring to the widest water spread. Then, lessen or increase the force of water with the water power bar. Also, experiment with lowering or raising the force at the wall source of water at the same time. I also use a flexible hose that I can adjust the force of water with a lever. If what you want still doesn’t work and you cannot contact the maker, I have also found help at our local nursery and at Home Depot who seem aware of the popularity of this alternate way of watering and are willing to help.

Yes...it won't rust. Mostly plastic outside except for the hose connection which should be the same.

Can water be left on when nozzle is closed?

I always drain my garden hose, regardless of what nozzle I have. I empty the water in a smaller container for small plants. I really do like the thumb control of this nozzle.
