My 76-year-old mom has been taking AlgaeCal Organic Red Algae Calcium for about six months as part of her routine to support bone health. She has severe bone loss related to RA, and we were looking for a plant-based calcium option she felt comfortable using long term. The supplement has been easy for her to take, and she’s been consistent with it, which says a lot. We’re hopeful and pleased with this product as part of her overall bone-support regimen.

I have taken AlgaeCal for over two years. The book "Healthy Bones Healthy You" (available at your library and/or Amazon) lays out the case for AlgaeCal much better than I can. I will say I closely followed the feedback on the Facebook page The AlgaeCal Community (for AlgaeCal users only) for almost a year before placing my initial order. That many ordinary people sharing improved DEXA scan results before and after at least one year on AlgaeCal eventually persuaded me that this product was worth the cost. I will have my first DEXA scan since beginning AlgaeCal soon and will come back and update. The conclusion was the same across all three: AlgaeCal is the only calcium supplement ever shown to increase bone density‡"

It's expensive considering one bottle is only a one-month supply. However, since I'm already taking calcium, I'm halfing the dose. I can't confirm if it builds bone. I like it because it doesn't upset my stomach and it got good reviews. So, I thought I'd try it. I like the fact that it's natural from the sea. We'll see how it goes.

Algecal is a great calcium supplement

I love this product. My bones don’t hurt anymore and my bone density numbers have improved.

I know I can't say *this is a miracle supplement* but it's so worth the money, and for me it has made such a significant difference in my bone strength. I had a knee replacement and my leg bone shattered so I ended up with screws and plates and years of PT...not ideal. I started taking Algecal Plus and my bones did fine with my next knee replacement. Plus my bone density tests show a big improvement in my hip bones which shocked my doctor. Yes Algaecal is pricey but to me it's worth every cent.

After an accident with literal bone crushing results, it was recommended that I take more calcium to strengthen my bones. Following surgery, on my first visit back to the orthopedist, I took with me a bottle of Red Algae Calcium for Bone Density to obtain an opinion from his perspective. After scanning the label and a little online research, he was impressed with my choice and encouraged me to continue. I can tell you now, it's physician approved and I am doing well.
