These bits did not work very well for metal. I got them because the self tapping screws that came with my chicken coop weren’t very easy to use. I tried these bits and they were worse. The did not break while using, but they also did not go in very easy. Then price wasn’t bad so I decided to keep them. Maybe I can use them for another project sometime. I changed the review to 5 stars because the seller did reach out to me and offered to refund me. I do not think a refund is necessary because the price was good and the bits can be used on other projects.

Product is a steal at 120$ given the hardness of the bits and the vast selection you get with the 115 or so bits that come with it.The case may arrive with a busted brass rivet or bent case like mine, but all the bits were still held in place with the Styrofoam which is more important for those small bits that are unlabeled.If the rivet is broken, it's pretty easy to just pop in a new one from aluminum or steel rivets I had on hand.The bent sheet metal case? It's thin stuff so it was easy to bend straight by hand.My biggest issue is that a few of the bits I used (#44 size specifically) didn't run true in the drill press. But runout wasn't so big of an issue as I just used a starter drill bit and then chased that with the #44 drill bit.Performance-wise though, hard to beat. The bits cut like butter through mild steel and they don't shatter easily like those cheaper titanium plated drill bits. In the end, worth every penny.Also, the 8 or 9 bits I measured with a micrometer were indeed true in size. Very pleased with my new set and worth the money 💰

a) The packaging was acceptable and informative on what was inside. However the plastic used is very flimsy and since the hinge is just the plastic ...I believe it will crack after only a few uses , especially on a cold day.b) The drills themselves are pretty exceptional. Sharp, straight, and easy to remove from the case. Cuts through any wood in a clean and precise manner ( no burrs left behind) . I was certainly impresses when I used one of the smaller bits to drill through an aluminum frame with a steel backing fairly easily. The bit showed a tiny bit of wear but appears to have maintained it edge and surprisingly did not get hot drilling through the metal!

These bits are very sharp and maintain their sharpness, even after drilling many holes. They're quality is quite a surprise for such a cheap price. The case they come in is very chintzy and, if dropped, you can be assured the bits are not staying in it. I'm in the middle of a large metal fabrication project and these bits have saved me a ton of time due to how quickly they punch holes in steel.

Advertise to drill Stainless Steel. Drilled about .002”, the bit was dull. The set seems like a nice set. I’m sure they will drill wood a cold rolled steel just fine. Didn’t like stainless, the reason i purchased.

Working Great as Advertised.

I have needed this set of drills for a while and soon I will be putting this set to the test. The various bits look to be well made and well ground. The metal case that this set came in looks to be very sturdy and should not break up like a plastic case. The holes in the four bit holding trays in the case were drilled correctly, in that the none of the drill bits are sloppy loose in their individual slots, but they are not difficult to remove either. To the point, I don’t have to fight with the case to pull out a particular drill bit. The case opens easily and smoothly. There is a fine coat of oil on the bits and no signs of rust or corrosion on any of them. The case is clearly labelled in large print. I would have preferred that they use a metal pull clip on the side of the case instead of a plastic one. I would have really liked to have received a heavy-duty laminated card in the box listing the decimal equivalents of these drill bits. I can make that reference listing up for myself. The drill bits are marked with their number size, but they are not marked with the decimal inch equivalent.

I do love these buts wish they were a lot cheaper though and had larger size bits in this package. But the ones that are there do a great job in my press and in my drill 👍. Very expensive hope they last me a long time 😭🤣

For so long I went with just whatever came with the drill. These bits are so hard, and with a little bit of oil cuts super well and stays sharp. Left hand is extra handy to drill out broken/welded in screws. Love them. Would bring them to bed if I were allowed.
