This came in a very small box and I wondered how they got 36 in there. But they did, and it's nice it didn't take up too much space. They're in individual wrappings, so you're not having to rig something up or use plastic bags. They lasted about 10 minutes or so each as I tested 6 while testing out a camping stove for Electric Picnic. Apparently you can take solid fuel. These did a small kettle with two mugs of water and mostly cooked some scrambled egg (1). I tried 4 mugs at one time and it got it more than warm but not boiling, so 2 + something else is probably good per tab.

Small, lightweight, individually packed - perfect for wildcamping/backpacking I bought the 36x pack with 15g tablets They burn for approxmately 13-15min individually I find a single one will struggle to bring a 1L pot of water to boil, even with a windshield around the stove I use, but they'll boil 0.5L in about 5min - great for a brew or quick warm meal after a long trek Slight fishy/chemical smell when they burn so use them outside the tent Overall they do the job and aren't bad for the price

These firelighters do exactly what the description says.They are small,but each of them give exactly 12 minutes of continuous fire in the camping stove. This is enough to boil some water or to reheat cooked food. They are easy to use, clean and, apart from a faint fishy smell, they do not make any smoke. They have been a revelation for me. I am happy to have found a solution to possible emergency situations at home.

These wax blocks are brilliant for camping and festivals. They light easily, burn hot, and stay lit long enough to get your fire or stove going properly. No fuss, no mess. I used them with a solid fuel stove and they were incredibly convenient. Would definitely buy again.

Hopeless. Couldn't get it lit with matches and needed a gas stove to ignite. Used 3 pellets combined and they didn't boil less than 2 mugs of water.

Bought these to try out instead of my usual brands and am fairly happy with them. They catch as well as other solid fuel tabs and have a reasonable burn time. Taking a star off though as they have a particularly strong smell and I don't mean when burning. Even when they're still in their individual wrappers you can really smell them, ended up double bagging them in ziplock and they were okay. Not a major problem but something to keep in mind depending on how and where you plan to store them.

Got these to replace my hexamine tabs as you now need a license or something (there classed as a explosive element by the nanny state), pretty good to be honest, I used 2 10g tablets and boiled 400mm of water in 7mins in low wind conditions, I did place them on some baking foil to reflect more heat upwards mind. Didn't notice any fishy smell as some other reviews have stated.

used these on a recent 77 mile through hike. They work great and reliably boil two cups of water per tab. I used a little sliver of a fire plug to get them started which made things easier. The do smell, and they leave a tar type residue on the bottom of your pot but I just scrubbed this off using the ground after each boil. For they price they're really good.
