Seems to be as described
I know many lights claim to be high lumen but many end up being a lot less than what their advertise so i've taken my time to get a good deal on one and this one took my fancy.I was hoping to find one with a AA adapter but couldn't find one, other than these with a AAA so that's the only negative in my opinion. The Blue 26650 battery is not to be mistaken as a AA, 26650 batteries are slightly longer and much wider than a AA. the Smaller 18650 batteries are closer to the AA but still a little longer and slightly wider than a AA. So i'll try to source a AA adapter for this Torch, be nice to have AA and AAA adapters. As far as the Torch is concerned, it's very bright indeed so i have no reason to suspect it isn't 10000 lumens. So I'm very happy with my choice and purchase. The longevity of the 26650 battery remains to be seen but i tested it out of the box and it's fully charged. The Battery compartment was a bit greasy, i suspect from the manufacturing process, i just wiped it clean. The Battery level indicator is working as it should, tried some AAA batteries with various charges. The power button is rubber and held down with what i believe to be an aluminum plate and 4 small bolts. Battery compartment has rubber ring seals at both ends so seems waterproof, very well made Torch, not exactly light but certainly not heavy either, i'd say perfect.Torch is 6 and half inches in length, handle grip area is an inch and quarter wide.Well worth the £21.50 Black Friday deal for sure, even worth the full price.EDIT: Had it a while now, rubber seal ring at the battery end snapped. Replacements rings are easily sourced, just google ‘2mm cross section o-rings with a 20mm diameter’.

Purty decent torch.
The media could not be loaded. First off, the pic with the white and the cross hair pattern. That's a photo that's slightly out of focus, sorry, it was tricky to take that one... It's the first thing I did when I took it out of the box and the reason is to find dead LEDs in the COB package, as you can see, I found one. I'm fairly sure it's a single chip that's failed. Without pulling the whole torch appart (which may yet happen), I can't tell if it's a QC reject or one that slipped through (they get marked on the back of the LED COB if they're for the reject bin or any of the other grading bins, for that matter, it's just the way things work in high volume component manufacturers. A single chip failure doesn't always mean rejection. Now that's out of the way...I charged the torch and when it got dark, took it outside. As you can see in the short video, it throws a fair amount of light out there and the focus is easily adjusted from flood to spot and everything in between.Build quality...The torch feels well made, sturdy, even. Most likely the charging port cover will break off, as it's a fairly light piece of rubber, held in place by friction, when it's closed and the usual little rubber flap, when it's open. Not a huge deal, even if it falls off. The switch is covered with a similar feeling, rubber shroud. Again, I can't be 100% unless I pull the whole thing apart but it feels like a decent, board mounted, micro switch. The torch has a reasonable weight to it, it's not light but it's not rediculusly heavy either. It fits in my hand well, with the switch falling naturally where I hold my thumb, it also fits in my pocket... You won't forget it's in your trouser pocket between the shape, weight and "...or are you just pleased to see me?" Comments you'll here over and over.Right now I'd say it's perfect for my intended purpose, which is finding which bush my dogs are hiding behind when out walking and having an emergency use torch in my car... This brings me neatly onto "why did I choose this torch?"...I chose this torch based on the practicalities that I'd set out...Shouldn't cost a stupid amount of money... Check. (You can easily find torches costing £300+ and they don't even come with someone to hold it for you). Somewhere in the £20-£30 range seems reasonable to me... Give or take a few bucks.Important features required...Rechargeable, check (USB C to charge a 26650 battery or with a supplied sleeve an 18650).Bonus advantage is the adapter to fit 3 AAA batteries into the torch, I'm sure they won't lest long in it but it's a nice backup to have in your pocket or backpack.Robust construction, check, already mentioned this above.Inside the little plastic box it arrives in you'll find the torch (26650 inside it with a plastic disk insulating it to prevent it draining the battery... So remove that before trying to switch it on or charging it).The adapters for AAA and 18650 batteries.A wrist strap (already attached to the torch).A small keychain "flashlight".3 X AAA batteries.A USB A to USB C charging lead. And a carry pouch with a loop to attach it to a belt.So all good there.Negatives...The ever useless strobe effect mode and the almost as useless SOS function (at least this one gets the dots and dashes the correct way round right enough). The single (?) Dead LED chip. Hopefully that won't prove to be a problem but I know how COB chips are wired, so we'll see... Luckily, it's a standard 7x7mm CREE COB, so I can order a new one and replace it. Honestly, I hate the way we're "saving energy" these days by buying light fittings that, once they fail, the whole thing gets binned, rather than just the lamp and with LEDs that's worse than you think. A single 17p capacitor fails and an entire light fitting is heading to landfill. With this in mind, I try to find things that are built from components I can source and buy easily. //END RANTOverall this feels like a decent torch that should do the job for me.I can't comment on battery life yet but as it's rechargeable... (If it's particularly shocking, I'll update the review but even if it is, would a brand name replacement battery last longer? If I need to find out, I'll update after that).Oh... The final reason I chose this one... I cost me the exact amount of money I had sitting in my Amazon wallet at the time, so it kinda felt like it was free (I realise that was my money in there but you know what I mean). 😉

Great torch, extremely bright!
Bought this as need to find house door numbers for my job, now the nights have drawn in! Love that it includes a belt holster, because as a property surveyor, I need to see all around a property and this is just the job for keeping hands and pockets free! Beam is adjustable to be wide angle or a more concentrated beam which is very good for zooming in on particular items, as the brightness increases as the area is more concentrated. The rechargeable battery is also extremely good, have not had to recharge it yet!!It also comes with AAA batteries and adapter, and also a small key fob light as well!Definitely worth paying a bit more for the quality and features of this item!

Disappointing & overhyped
The design is robust and the torch feels great to hold. The brightness is very impressive. Packed well and easy to follow instructions. However, it needed charging immediately after opening once the battery was activated, no drama so I plugged it in.The battery is scuffed and looks like it’s been used before. The blue round charging spots were on 2 then dropped to 1, then up to 3 then back to 2. The torch isn’t being used during charging. It’s now been on charge without being used for 16 hours and keeps going from 2 solid blue charging lights to 3 then back to 2.It will not charge up to 4 solid blue lights. Very disappointed and this torch does not live up to the advertised hype.I examined the battery again and it’s certainly scuffed on the sides and I believe has been used before. It’s not acceptable to buy and “hope” an item will work as advertised. Regardless of the good price, this torch is substandard. It maybe just mine, but I doubt if I’m the only customer that has this issue.Although there seems to be some good reviews, I strongly advise anyone thinking of buying this torch to avoid it and read the dissatisfied reviews. Everyone can’t be wrong, and I’m not being unfair to the seller, I am giving an honest review based on the item in front of me. I wouldn’t buy this torch again.
