The Nosferatu Scroll (Chris Bronson Book 4)

Still reading it. So far I am enjoying it very much. The detective and ex-wife partnership is a surprise. Almost tempted to look towards the end o see how the relationship comes about along with the sad outcome of the Princes and the other girls. It is a must read for me as I thourghly enjoy suspense. drama, spy and milatary stories.

I have read all the Chris Bronson series and admit I enjoyed them all. It is pure fun. Not hard to follow any of the plot line as most are the same but this one was a bit different and it was wierd to say the least. I would suggest reading it. That is a rave coming from me

I would give this closer to 3 1/2 stars for the interesting plot around the vampire theme and how it affects a string of murders in current time Venice in this book. My only issue is how the last third of the book seems to drag on and on once we know the protagonists.

Story a bit hard to follow

Good read

All of James Becker's books are very good. Excellent read. As good as the Area 51 series. Even my husband likes Mr. Beckers books and he usually only reads spy novels.

This book really makes you think! After reading the afterword at the end of the book, I was amazed at the depth of the historical background the author had gone to to produce this novel. It does make you wonder if fantasty has a background in ancient fact/mythology. It certainly appears that people from thousands of years ago believed in the concept of vampires and as late as the last century, precautions were taken to ensure corpses of alleged vampires did not return to hunt the living. The story is great fun and with twists and turns to the end. It is a definite page-turner and well written. You are still left wondering at the end of the book......Might not think about visting Venice again too soon!!! Great characters, lovely backdrop in the city of Venice. Mystery, myths, truth and fiction linked extremely well to provide an exciting book. The story fo!lowing Chris and Angela having a break in Venice when they visit the cemetery island where their problems start. In the meantime young girls have been taken from Venice's streets but only a couple of bodies have been found.Could an ancient text help a young woman who has been taken from the streets live or will the evil men holding her stop her leaving them forever?

This book connects a Venetian, authentic, horror story, with, a little, sightseeing and island hopping. The story is paced and straight forward: man losses girl, and man saves girl from some real evil men. Read this as another, slightly different, Venice adventure. The Skull with a brick between the teeth: it's real! Brr. Venessia per sempre.

A good no-brainer read. A bit different from my usual police procedures but moves along at pace and enjoyable.
