Well worth reading.
Do you read Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, Matthew Reily and the like, then you should enjoy Nathan M. Farrugia.Well I thoroughly enjoyed this read. I found it fast paced for the majority of the way through, and the slower parts didn't detract from the pace to make it feel like you were kangarooing with start stop action. The pace of #2 & #3 have slowed some what from #1, but the continuous flow does not detract. More of the characters features are coming through with each new saga leaving you waiting and wanting more when the current story finishes.Plenty of conspiracy theories that could be plausibly factual depending on your own views of the world! To summarise : lots of action, plenty of twists, high body count, sense of loss, sense of hope, sense of more to come from the characters and storyline.Once you have read the Fifth Column, pick up the Helix series books. Just as exciting and enjoyable side series.

Brilliant Series
Brilliant Series. If you enjoy Action Techno Thrillers, then you will love these books. Nathan Farrugia has put together a great cast of characters, which all have very different enhanced, and hidden abilities from each other. I love the way the stories link into each other, but in saying that I never knew what was going to happen from one moment to the next. Probably the other stand out for me is the Authors ability to keep my attention from start to finish in each book, through some great action scenes, and quite a few twist and turns. The Fifth Column may have trained these operators, but now quite a few of them have gone rouge and escaped. Even though they have teamed up together to stay safe, they are definitely up against it, to not be captured or killed. The Fifth Column probably trained them a bit too well. I would certainly encourage others to read this amazing series. Easily worth the 5/5 star rating.

I really enjoyed the series
I have to say I really enjoyed the series. The action picked up quick, and never really slowed down much. The plot was decent, and easy to follow. At one point I remember feeling apprehensive; like I was reading a conspiracy theory, but that feeling passed pretty quickly. Nothing that happens is implausible, and there are some interesting reverses. I enjoyed the characterization, even (or perhaps especially) the bad guys. This book jumps POVs pretty regularly, which made the beginning third or so sort of drag for me, though that went away once I got familiar with all the players.I must say that I liked the second book was even more than the first. Overall the pacing was great and once the main thrust of the action gets wound up, it doesn't really let off for very long at all. I particularly loved some of the improvised weapons. This series does place a good bit of emphasis on teamwork and coordination. Its fun watching the plans take shape, and equally fun watching all the crazy improvisation when things go off the rails.

Buckle up for a great ride
What an amazing series. Plenty of action, thrills, gut-wrenching pace, cool weapons/gadgets and well written story. To say that Farrugia did not disappoint would be a huge understatement. He absolutely nailed it! The first in this series is an amazing debut and the sequel really takes it to the next level. I particularly appreciated getting to know more about each member of the "good guys" and how they interacted with one another and all this while they were being pursued, shot at and blown up. If you have not read Farrugia's books, you are definitely missing out on the fun.Another up-and-coming bright author from down under. Definitely recommend you read this series if you are a fan of Matthew Reilly, Jeremy Robinson or James Rollins.

Exciting
This was a good series. The storyline elements seemed to repeat over the volumes. Still a good story and I would like to read further stories in this setting.

Fast paced non stop brilliance
Loved the series from the start.Lots of twists and turns as well as non stop action. The characters were also brilliant and that's what I loved the most.Good ones and bad ones are there but the lines are really blurred sometimes which really makes the series stand out. Can't wait for more. An absolute must for readers of action thrillers.
