Our Crib bumper comes in 4 pieces that connect beautifully around the crib to create one cohesive piece but the 4 pieces make it easier for washing and removing from the crib! Beautiful Handmade in America Crib Bumper in Red and Black Buffalo Check. Our Buffalo Check is 100% Twill weight cotton that is printed in the USA as well! We hand make each one of our bumpers with individual cuts and attention to details. Twill has a linen like weave which is stronger and more lustrous than cotton, which gives the fabric a polished finish while providing durability. Bumper is filled with 100% polyester breathable batting (meaning it is sturdy but breathable enough that water etc can run right through the bumper). Bumper has 32 ties (16 tie points) to ensure it is securely fastened to sides of crib. When your child is able to pull up to a standing position, you should remove the crib bumper. Not Machine Washable
This item took over a month to arrive. I finally got it in the mail today and wanted to wash prior to putting it up in our crib as I do all of our baby items/clothing/bedding. I followed the instructions included with the bumper and after washing it on a delicate cycle, the foam inside moved around and is now twisted and mis-shapen. I have tried pulling it around, but there is no opening and it was not stitched down so it seems impossible to fix. If you plan on purchasing this item, it is very cute, but I do not recommend washing it in the washing machine per their advice...which is a little ridiculous since it will most likely need to be washed at some point...Not sure what to think, but hoping to get a replacement before baby arrives!Oh, also the ribbon ties were very jagged and frayed on the ends, but it was an easy fix with a lighter.Overall cute fabric and item, but not well designed for its purpose and should be ordered way in advance.
