Great for online teaching
I am an online guided reading teacher. This is fun and a different way to practice our CVC words in Zoom.

My grandson loves to use them. He practices everyday all by himself.

Should be capital letters
I appreciate the bag.The wooden blocks are nice except they should be offered first with capital letters.

Great for pre-readers with the help of an adult
This toy requires parent participation in order for it to be useful which is totally ok with me. My son is 4 1/2 and he has been asking me how to spell things or guessing what random letters spell. I saw this toy and knew it would be perfect for him. I showed him how the blocks worked and we played a game I made up called “guess what word this spells” and his face would light up and he’d smile every time he would manage to create a real word! I would tell him what the word meant and use it in a sentence. He loved it! After that I had him sound out the sound each letter makes to help him read the words on his own. This also is helping him practice recognize lower case letters. I know with practice he’ll be reading them on his own in no time.

Good idea
Am in favor of anything to help kids read and this is fun even for the little one and she just twist the letters. A little pricey but a great tool

Fun, engaging, and easy storage!
My 6-year old enjoyed playing with this set while traveling in our van. She read all the 3-letter words and the companion book with ease. She most enjoyed twirling the spinny blocks. My 4-year old, who has shown little interest in the alphabet, was engaged in learning vowels and consonants while I spun the blocks and taught him new letters. He also enjoyed playing with the spinny blocks while trying to recite the letters. I am so excited to find a phonics tool that both of my kiddos can enjoy! I also love the burlap bag that is included for easy storage, travel, and organization. I would love to have one of these sets for Spanish letters and words!

My 2 year old loves these
I have an advanced 2 year old who can read and spell. She loves these word spinners! I like the ease of turning the letters. She loved the book it came with as well. I plan on using this for road trips and the times she gets bored in restaurants. I was deciding between these and another brand. After reading a few bad reviews about the other brand I decided on these. The other brands letters were written a little different causing kids to mistake the i for a j. I'm glad I made this choice...
