Best lumber support for my couch
I have back problems and have had 3 back surgeries. I need lumbar support to help with my pain relief especially since I work 12 hour shifts. I have a leather couch and this slumber support stays put without even having to attach it around the back. The quality is fantastic and firm. It’s very functional and I just bought a second one for my car, which doesn’t seem to give me enough lumbar support. I love the height and the curve on the bottom for room for my fanny. I have bought so many of these and finally found one that helps with my pain relief.

Good purchase.
5'5" 277 lbs I bought this (regular support cushion, NOT the "Soft" support cushion) to use in the car, as well as in an electric scooter, for a Disney trip. I get a lot of low back pain when driving more than 45 minutes to an hour or sitting in a scooter at theme parks all day. This is the perfect size for what I was needing and it's not too thick to push me too far forward. It's very comfortable and easy to adjust where I need it, the strap also seems to be quite sturdy and adjustable, with a little bit of a rubber strip on one side to keep it from sliding..... Although no need for strap in car. The only one thing I can say slightly negative, is that it was "almost" a little too soft after using it for a bit. It's a memory foam so it does squish in a bit more than expected especially under my weight (277 lbs), HOWEVER, it still stayed supportive enough and didn't push me too far forward in my scooter. I am also using it on my sofa while watching TV. Good purchase!

Firm support, good shape
I've had a Mackenzie Roll for years, and I've liked it, but it wore out and so I thought I'd explore other options. This lumbar/back-support "pillow" is, as you probably know, a top Wirecutter choice. I find it great. It's easy to place correctly on almost any type of chair (it does have a strap to place over or strap around a chair's back if you so desire, but it's also easy enough just to place in position if your chair's back and seat are very close together or all one piece) and it's wide enough to support your entire lower back. It's a bit larger than a Mackenzie Roll but it's not really bulky -- it fits in my backpack as I travel from work site to work site. The support is firm, not pillowy/squishy, which is exactly what I need.

Versatile comfort
I love to travel, but seating often leaves a lot to be desired in the comfort department which is exacerbated by my concern over possible aggravation of a spinal condition that has already had surgery. This pillow is great. I have tried it on a variety of chairs in my home and found support, comfort, and (best of all) the absence of stressed/aching lumbar muscles in all situations. It'll be an extra item to carry around with me when I travel by air or motor coach, but well worth such a minor inconvenience. The smaller size was a determining factor in which pillow to select which is another plus. I did not give a score for 'pain relief' since as of my surgery, I no longer have any pain prior to traveling or at home where I have several larger pillows I can use for support. But as a preventive measure, this one fits the bill beautifully.

Doesn't stay in place with strap
This provides great lower back cushioning and support. However, the adjustable elastic strap that wraps around the back of the chair is of poor design. The sliding adjustable plastic piece has little to no grip on the elastic band that wraps around the chair, so any tightening adjustments to hold the "pillow" elevated above the seat are temporary as it will slide down as it looses grip on the strap. The elastic also has begun to show signs of stretching as well - and it's been a month of use. This device provides great support, but this issue of constantly readjusting it, would cause me to pick something else.

good lumbar support
I have been having low back pain and stiffness for a year since a fall at home. I had physical therapy, chiropractic care and massage therapy without too much help. I used a lot of topical creams for pain relief, especially before bed time. This little pillow helped me more than anything! I bought 3 different ones and this was the best one for me. What I like : it's small enough to be portable. I use it in my car, the home office, on the couch. It's small enough for take along on a trip. I like that I can put it exactly where I need the support. I my case, I need to maintain that Lumbar curve and it does that very well. It has a cover that can be removed and washed. The memory foam is medium soft, comfortable and a little firm. It does squash down a little more that I would like it to, bit it does come back up. The only concern if you are shopping: if you are large or heavy set, it may not be supportive or the right size for you. Everyone is different with different anatomy, injuries and pain issues. This one works for me. Hoping you find a solution for your issues!!

Better than expected
My mom has some mobility issues and spends a fair amount of time in a recliner chair but because of back pain she is always trying to find a blanket or pillow or something to stuff in the crease of the chair back and seat. I got this hoping it would be the right size and provide enough support. So far so good! It has only been a few days but she says that it sits in that crease perfectly and provides that lower back support that so many recliners lack. I wish it were slightly larger to cover the whole area but for the price I am pleased.

Great for my recliner!
I’m a petite lady & my recliner has a deep seat. I have a large square pillow to fill in some space but really needed more support. This really does the trick! I am so happy. I took a chance & scored! It’s dense enough for good support but also comfortable. I use it lower & raise to mid back depending on what I need at the moment. Will definitely buy again. Problem solved!!

I get lower back spasms occasionally, worsened by working from home during lockdown. I've tried bolster pillows with a little success and molded back forms before with no success. The molded back forms always seemed like they were the wrong shape for me at 5'3". I decided to try this as it indicated that it would be good for people with short torsos. The relief was instant. I use it both at my desk chair, but also when sitting on my sofa watching tv. In combination with some lower back exercises, this solved my spasms in less than a week. I'm ordering a second one as back-up. The grey RS1 is fairly firm--certainly my weight is not compressing it. P.S, My cat has decided she loves to lie against it, too, and it's exactly the length of her body! Great whole body support for an arthritic feline. If I get up from the sofa, she steals my spot by the support pillow. I need two.

I was hoping it would work for the car, but it’s a bit big for the car. Great for an office chair. It’s an excellent back pillow!
