Missing Items
Box arrived unsealed in an Amazon paper bag packaging, items missing, 1 HDMI micro cable and 1 tilt arm. I contacted Desview via Amazon. At time of writing this review I have not received any reply from Desview.UPDATE.It’s now 20th of November 2023, 16 days after my initial review and 20 days after my original purchase and I still have not been contacted by Desview or Amazon re my missing items hence why I have reduced this review to a one star rating. Needless to say in my opinion, I will never buy from Desview again. The monitor will now be returned to Amazon.

Cable missing, doesn't work. DON'T BOTHER!
When I opened the box, I found that one of the cables was missing. It didn't connect to my cameras after installation of the software (no camera drivers on memory stick provided). Manufacturer's support website was useless, (download link led to an empty page). No response from manufacturer's support team to email.

You get what you pay for
First, let me say this works and it certainly makes filming easier. But it feels cheaply made - very plasticy. And the little mount arm is not properly straight. It doesn't stop you using the monitor, but it irks me to see it at a very slight angle. It may not bother you, but it sure bothers me!The "tightness" of the mounting arm doesn't impress me either. It feels a bit loose even when tightened and I'm always scared I'll strip the threads by accident. The software is fine - you get the usual adjustments and aids like zebras and so on. From that point of view it's fine and the actual image is decent. It's just a shame that the build quality doesn't match that. But if you want a budget field monitor that works and works well (ignoring build quality) this does the job.One thing is for sure, it's a lot more convenient than trying to use a flip out screen to film yourself, not least because when it's mounted on the hotshoe it's on axis with the lens so you're looking straight ahead - of course you'll be looking up a bit rather than to the side, but that's impossible to avoid when using this kind of monitor on a hotshoe anyway.

Affordable & Easy To Use
The media could not be loaded. For the price, this is a great budget monitor! It is easy to use and because of its extremely lightweight build quality, attaching It and manoeuvring with it is very easy. My old monitor had a bit of weight to it so this is refreshing. The screen works well for navigating the menus. However, I much prefer this to buttons on the housing. It is so much more intuitive to use. The 1/4x20 holes are positioned for flexibility when you position them on your camera. The included mount make this process much easier. This monitor can process at 4K via the HDMI input and output signals but the screen itself is only a 1920 x 1080 HD monitor. It has HDMI inputs and outputs so it is also a signal pass-through device. It can take a traditional battery you use on Led lights and studio lights, so you can make this whole setup on your camera completely portable and easy to use on the move.Surprisingly there are LUT presets that came with it. You'll be able to change between them quickly via the USB that comes with your kit. This will allow you to place it into your video software. You can also you can add any LUT to the monitor for quick application and switching. The 800 nit brightness works really well indoors or in light shade. If you are doing lots of outdoor work, splurge for a higher brightness - you'll appreciate it. It does get a bit warm where the batter terminal connects after long periods of use but nothing too concerning. As far as the touch screen goes, this is really responsive. I was a bit nervous about the touch screen features given how small the screen is, but it is pretty sensitive and the buttons are big enough to ensure you’re hitting only the right ones. There is no lag when you’re switching between functions either which is perfect for quickly changing the settings.Being a videographer, I’ve only owned a fair few monitors now and I will say this isn’t the most colour-accurate monitor. For the price though the screen is vibrant and sharp and more than good enough for general day-to-day shooting. I was able to use it on my Sony a9 Camera so I could make sure whatever I was filming was in focus and the contrast levels were fine.Overall, I find this monitor sufficient for my video needs, and I would recommend it for someone who just doesn't have the money to buy something fancier. I like is lightweight even though it's plastic and feels slightly cheap in the hand. For its asking price, I believe it is certainly worth it! A must-have for your filming equipment!Hope this review helps.

Desview: P5II Camera Field Monitor (5.5")
It's a real shame there are a couple of key points which essentially let this product down, otherwise it would actually be a very good product!✔️ Pros:• Easy enough to set-up; just before you buy, check which HDMI cable your cable requires as you may need to buy the correct one. You get 'HDMI to Mini HDMI' and 'HDMI to Micro HDMI' cables (unfortunately the Sony A7IV is 'HDMI to HDMI').• After a short play around with the buttons, I found navigating through the monitors settings to become a lot simpler and I was able to track down and adjust the required settings.• The picture quality on the screen is very clear. Having a 5.5" screen makes it much easier to see what you're shooting than most typical camera screens.• There are a tonne of features available on the monitor from basic to advance.- Neutral:• Camera monitors I've owned in the past have all come with a travel case. It would have been nice if this one also came with one.• The included HDMI cables may be too lengthy for your set-up if the monitor is mounted close to the camera body.❌ Cons:• NO POWER CABLES INCLUDED!? I get the battery being an optional extra, but to not include any basic power method is just utterly absurd!• The bracket included is such poor quality on so many levels. First being that it doesn't fully lock into position and will easily move despite being tightened; secondly it can't handle much weight at all to the point when I insert an 'NP-F970' battery, the bracket bends resulting in the monitor from tilting. You may get away with using an NP-F550 which is the smaller capacity, thus more lightweight.

low price
liked 5.5inch screen clearer view than camera LCD. Good value for the price

Would not recommend
If I had reviewed it when I first got it It would've gotten a5 star. BUTTTTTT! I would've been (unknowingly) less than honest...I opened it up to record some shots for my Demo reel and it had black spots and smudges. And this was only my second use. I'm a production student and wanted it for my home camera, but I quickly returned it and bought another one...Desview will never get my business again! I'm sticking to Neewer or Feelworld at least the have focus assist!
