I wished that they would come in a 10 pack like the traditional reeds.

I've used other synthetics, the problem usually is dynamic contrast, with this one, you get the crisper sounds of cane and the ability to go ppp-fff no problem.The reed fits my old k10m mouthpiece well but doesn't sit on my favorite mouthpiece, a Pomarico Ninjun. I contacted Daddarrio, they did say they're working on other cuts, like a wider Euro cut, but haven't produced them yet. I look forward to testing when they come out.For now, if you play on an American style smaller face MP, these are great, if you play on a wider facing this won't fit well.

As a professional clarinetist for 40 years, I’ve resisted using synthetic reeds; however, pit orchestra work and summer playing in hot outdoor venues made me give these a try. Of course, they don’t dry out and the sound is consistent from play to play. What really impresses me is the tone quality. That being said, I wouldn’t recommend them for beginners as I think they require a developed embouchure.

This only lasted 2 weeks. Not worth the money.My daughter said it was easy to use and did sound better.For the price I would expect it to last longer.

Tone is thin, flat in altissimo register.

Granted this is my first time trying a synthetic reed, but the tone is horrible. I can swap between this and my usual Vandoren reeds (appropriately moistened), and the "real" Vandorens sound great, while this synthetic reed sounds...well, synthetic.

Bamboo reeds sound better. No doubt about that. But, the appeal of synthetics has always been that they don't change with the weather, and you can avoid the tedium of managing and preparing reeds. How many times in your life have you had a concert coming up and started breaking in some reeds? So you have a fresh set, and then something awful happened-- you chip a couple of reeds, or they turn out to be duds, and then you have nothing for your concert? Or, how many times have you had a gig in a humid area and your reeds are garbage because they're water logged?These avoid all of that, and I'll never go back to bamboo unless I'm playing a critical concert-- which I don't ever do because I'm just not that good :-DEven if you prefer to tender your reeds, keep a couple of these as a backup if you find yourself in a critical situation.

Quando ho provato per la prima volta questo tipo di ancia, provenendo dalle più note Legère (di cui suono le 4,25), mi sono trovato un pò spiazzato .... ma devo dire che lavorandoci su e trovando un numero più adatto al mio Becco (alla 4,25 della Legère corrisponde una 3,5 della Venn), sono riuscito ad apprezzarne le qualità. Sono sempre molto "Vibranti" e necessitano di una esmissione di una certa portata, quindi anche di una buona muscolatura facciale esterna e interna, ma danno soddisfazione nel risultato sonoro. Provandole con altri bocchini con caratteristiche differenti, ho anche constatato che probabilmente non "calzano" proprio con tutte le aperture. Buona sperimentazione

Non so che dire..non mi era mai successo di trovare un'ancia sintetica completamente afona..forse e troppo dura la 3.50? Boh..prodotto restituito..per adesso solo.3 stelle..

Purtroppo è arrivata con durezza 350+ (non 350) rimandata è tornata ancora con durezza 350+.Consiglio agli addetti amazon di munirsi di lente e controllare bene (cambia anche il prezzo) PRIMA DI RISPEDIRE.

These are a great idea and have a good sound for a synthetic reed. However they have an artificial grain (probably what makes them sound closer to a cane reed) and all of mine split really early on. I had a 3 that lasted a bit better and split after a couple of uses, but both the harder 3.5s were split out of the box. So sadly not going to be buying any more.

Terrible sound in altissimo and upper clarion. Not worth it at all. Back to van doren reeds!
