Background: I'm an Asian woman in my 50s. I've always had super tiny, sparse, stick straight, baby fine, short Asian lashes all through my life. Since high school, I've always bought drugstore mascara (all kinds of L'Oréal, Cover Girl, Maybelline, Elf, etc). Even though I curled my lashes every single day, they would still droop, smudge, flake, smear. I just accepted it, and I was never satisfied with my mascara. Flash forward to now, I watched a few Tiktoks on #Asianmascara. Wow! Eye-opening like it was speaking to me. As an Asian, I have oilier monolids, straight stick short lashes, with barely there lower lashes. TikTok users said store mascaras for the masses are "too wet" for Asian lashes, the mascara brushes are too big for our eyes, and that's why our lashes will not hold a curl. It just makes sense. After reading the positive reviews on this mascara, I took a plunge and ordered. First impressions: I LOVE the packaging (I love the Kdrama True Beauty so this packaging is so cute), the mascara tube is rose gold (so slim and pretty!), the brush is cute and tiny and perfect for my teeny lashes (even the lowers!), and the formula is nice and dry (not messy and gloppy like regular brands). I curled my lashes with my new Japanese lash curler (from Amazon, it's sooooo nice), and my lashes finally have length, curl, definition with no smudges, flaking or smears. Even with the dry formula, I didn't need to do 15 swipes per side like usual. It stayed all day long. When I saw my 26 year old daughter at dinner that day, she complimented me on my lashes and thought I got a lash lift perm! Removal of this mascara is not a problem. I double cleanse with Japanese face oil, use my regular cleaner, and a small soft washable makeup cloth. Every trace is removed. Micellar water also works fast! I love this mascara so much I bought 4 more because it's on sale now. It's AMAZING--I finally found my hold grail mascara!

i have literally tried every mascara known to man "waterproof" ones. i have hooded eyes & oily lids which means everything runs, or ends up smearing after a few hours. this barely smudged, maybe just a LITTLE but it lasted hours & made my lashes look so pretty? long & pretty and it stayed put. it's a bit hard to wash off but use like coconut oil or smthn it helps get off the mascara without damaging ur eyelashes. this mascara is so slay.. actually. buy it.

i was impressed by how much length it added for my short lashes while not clumping. okay, it doesn't hold my curls long but it barely flaked/smudged and stayed intact when affected by a lot of water. that is a win for me. good for sensitive pisces girlies <3

I have tried many American mascaras, and never been satisfied. I have very droopy hooded eyes, and oily skin..No matter what I do, I always end up with raccoon eyes. And I never like the texture, because they always made my lashes very thick, when what I wanted was length. (Even lengthening mascaras did the same thing, and didn't make my lashes look longer.) For example, the waterproof princess mascara by essence made my lashes clumpy, smudged at the end of the day, and the tube dried out immediately. I liked the stackable mascara by MAC, but it's not waterproof, so it still smudges even though it lasts very long. I've tried a lot more than those 2, but those were more recent. I still hadn't found a mascara that lengthening, smooth, and waterproof. I figured I'd try looking for a waterproof tubing mascara, since that's the only kind I haven't tried yet. This was the only one I could find on Amazon that was affordable, met my criteria, and seemed to be a good brand. When I tried it on for the first time I was blown away. This doesn't add volume, or make your lashes clumpy. It lengthens your lashes, and glides on smooth. Not only that, but it's buildable, and doesn't leave my eyes a flaky mess!! In fact, it works so good that it's super hard for me to remove, even with products that remove waterproof mascara. You're most likely going to need a strong oil based cleanser (or straight up OIL) to remove this. I love it, it's my forever favorite, I hope it never goes away.

i have thick asian lashes which makes it difficult for me to find mascaras that keep my curl up. i was looking for an alternative to my holy grail heroine make mascara and happened to stumble across this! it works great for keeping your lashes up and passes the mask test. i don’t have to worry about the formula weighing down my lashes. it’s difficult to get off with soap but a makeup remover like the waterproof garnier micellar water will take it right off. definitely recommend to anyone with straight lashes!

One of the reasons I buy this mascara is because of the comments on the product reviews. My lashes are not curled or raised, they are straight all the way down and sparse. Always having trouble To keep them Up. I trade many mascaras of different brands and very expensive. I went from the most luxurious brands to the cheapest, and the only thing I got is that the same product made them heavier and it didn't even take two hours when they went down again. For almost my entire life I returned to the cheapest mascara from the Apple brand, and it was always the only one that worked for me and kept my eyelashes up day and night incredibly. But they left me with a lot of residue, clumps, and a black spot on top and bags under my eyes. It also makes me a little itchy. With this new mascara, I tried applying just a light coat to the top and bottom lashes. I lasted all day and at night I slept with mascara on all day. Today I woke up with my eyelashes up, almost no residue, no black spots, no itching! I am very very happy! Finally a product that works perfectly for me!

Loved how easily it applied and lengthened my lashes. A little difficult to remove compared to other tubing mascaras I have used, but otherwise a good product.

So although this mascara does have amazing staying power it's almost too good. It does not come off with water like it is supposed to nor can i remove it with eye makeup remover. It satays on for about two full days before it flakes off.
