Very fast
Very fast, usb 3.1. Must have 3.1 usb jack on your device to get the fast speed.

Outstanding quality for the price
Really outstanding quality for the price. Love the metal casing and the magnetic USB A cover, as well as the dual USB A plus USB C interface.

Eventually it's going to heat up and slow down...
Unless you build a little HS / fan combo onto it to be plugged into a nearby USB port, but it hits the advertised speed which is more than i can say for most keys. The flip-out on the C end keeps it from plugging in the rear USB-C port on my workstation but that's a 20Gb port it doesn't need anyway. I've mainly been keeping random video up to UHD BD quality to play when i need to take my network down on it. No issues or errors yet, and speed is consistent through most copies i make to it. Build is solid feeling metal (even the tiny latch on the USB-C side seems like I'd have to try to break it and the magnetism has kept me from losing the USB-A cap around 10 times so far. I'd recommend to anyone who needs a quick small drive...

Not nearly as fast as they advertise
Item says 550 MB/s read speed. I clocked it. It's 32 to 39 MB/s. Doesn't matter if you use the USB 3.0 or USB-C side. In fairness, this is typical of every solid state drive I've seen. Other that that, it's a perfectly good thumb drive: small, versatile, lightweight, well made.

Faster than I expected
Even the faster USB drives are not that fast but this one is faster than my external SSD drive and much more compact. The USB-C and USB -B connections make it especially useful. The only bad thing as others have noted is the USB cap may be easy to loose but it is magnetic which is a plus. Wish it was a swivel cap like the USB -C side has.
