LawnMaster 20VMWGT 24V Max 13-inch Lawn Mower and Grass Trimmer 10-inch Combo with 2x4.0Ah Batteries and Charger

I just got this little mower today and it took me about a half an hour to put it together. The biggiest issues I ran into while doing so: the grass basket may or may not line up and you have to use a bit of body weight to get it to snap in. Also, adjusting the blade height worried me because I felt like I was gonna snap the handle. It just needed to be worked and finessed a tad and once it engaged, it moved smoothly in both directions. A little oil every once in awhile probably won't hurt anything. It is simple to get assembled, even with just one person. Gotta use your head or shoulder or whatever to hold up one side of the handle while getting the other side on. i have two small areas in the front and the mower are right through both sides pretty quickly. It DID shut off on me and it took me a minute to figure out why, but I noticed the orange flap on the grass basket was up, meaning it was full. I remembered this from reading through the manual. I emptied it, put it back in and the mower started right up. I will most likely not use this basket anymore after my initial mows since it is a pain stopping, emptying and restarting. The only reason I am using it right now is because my grass is high and wet and I don't want clumps all over the place for my dog to drag in. The back yard is longer than it is wide, but still not a small area. I was moving right along and of course it started to rain. Which is fine since the battery was dead anyway so no biggie. I'll finish tomorrow. I have never cut grass in my life until today (I am pushing 50), I am small and light and I have MS. Things can be quite difficult for me, but I am so happy with this mower. It is easy to maneuver, powerful and quiet. That being said, the area I was able to finish in the back yard has a mohawk but that's my fault, nothing to do with the mower. Once I do this a few more times, I'll get the hang of it. There is no exhaust or gas smell, which is a bonus because I don't want gasoline stored anywhere near my home. I love that it came with a weed eater, and I'll use that tomorrow as well once I am done mowing. I have a 3 foot metal decorative fence round the back yard (and the grass loves this idea to nestle in between), so we'll see how it fares against the metal and the sidewalks. I 100% recommend this mower! It does NOT come with an extra battery charger, which would be ideal so you can charge both batteries at the same time. However, the battery does charge pretty quickly.

The product was easy to set up, but it feels like one of those children’s lawnmowers. It is not good at cutting grass that’s over 3 inches and the batteries die very quickly. I anticipated they would die quickly so I looked into ordering back up batteries and chargers, but sadly their are none available unless I want to buy a whole new set again. I wouldn’t recommend for anyone needing to cut their yard but maybe a small 3 foot area of grass below 3 inches. Both batteries will heat up while in use so once they die completely the charger won’t charge them until they’ve cooled. It takes about 8 hours to get a full charge on one battery. Even with the grass catching attachment the lawnmower will get jammed up with grass quickly and stop running requiring you to remove the grass by hand. I get about 1 - 2 feet pushing the mower before it’s blade stops if the grass isn’t done daily with this device. It would be better if it actually had a cord so it could at least run longer than 10-20 minutes on a full charge. If you’re lucky you will get a full hour between both batteries and then you’ll have to wait about 2 hours before they’re cooled enough to charge one at a time. The quality of the trimmer is pretty terrible as well. With similar results as the mower the trimmer doesn’t last much longer. It gets stuck on anything thicker than a grass blade and will have to be reset and adjusted. After 2-3 uses it actually broke apart and is no longer functional because the bolt that holds it together screws into plastic and the whole thing vibrates more than what’s in your moms sock drawer. The kind of vibration that makes your hands shake like a Hollywood heroine addict. Stay away from this purchase and save your money for a gas powered mower and trimmer. This doesn’t work.

This little lawn mower and weed wacker was easy to assemble and came with 2 fully charged batteries. This was my first time cutting grass and I found the devices very simple to use. Both my husband and I were shocked that it was able to do such a great job in our overgrown yard. You may not be able to tell by the pictures however if the grass was standing up straight instead of fallen over it would have been at least 3.5 ft tall, with that said the battery only lasted about 20 minutes however it came with 2 batteries so we were able to finish and still have some juice for the weed wacker. I do believe if my yard was not so overgrown we would have been fine with just 1 battery. Some things we learned while using the machines. The lawnmower will shut off if the grass catcher is full, if grass gets caught underneath it will shut off and you can restart the machine in a less dense area or lift it a little so it can clear itself out. We also found we had to use a higher setting and once we got the grass cut to a decent length we were able to switch it to a lower setting. We learned you can tilt the angle of the weed wacker and it comes with extra string/line. Again my yard is small so this worked very well. We were very impressed with how easy it was to manuever and how much power it has for something so small and lightweight. Sorry for the poor quality video however you can see how great this little machine is! Very happy with the purchase.

Update after using it for 5 month: I purchased this grass trimmer about 5 months ago, and while the tool itself works well, I’ve had an issue with the second battery. Even when it’s fully charged, it drains very quickly and doesn’t work properly. This makes it difficult to use the trimmer for longer tasks. ——————————————————— This grass trimmer is fantastic!
