Will this hold a phone that has a pop up handle on the back?

I guess all phones has a plain back unless you have added a phone cover to it,what I did was to always remove my phone cover each time I wanna place it on the device,and what I observed is the device is more firm when it's placed on the windscreen than placing its placed on the dashboard

How do I get it off from windscreen

Try pulling the little tab at the front. It should relieve the suction pressure. I've not had to remove mine, and I've also not got mine on the windscreen, but that should be what the tab is for. They have those tabs on most suction plates.

When attaching this to a dash, does it need to be 100% flat? I don't want it on windows/vents and my dash isn't totally flat.
