Awesome book although I would much rather see all the answers, to all the problems as well as how you solved each in the back of the book. If you did that, I would give it 5 stars. The video lessons (obtained by signing into Ghilani's book website) were very helpful in understanding the material that is covered in the book. In fact, if a person does not have a teacher/lecturer, Ghilani himself does an awesome job of "esplainin" the surveying to you in a step-by-step method. His calm, steady voice is clear and understandable and if you don't get the topic the first time, you can rewind the video. So far, this is my favorite survey book and I will use this for years to come.

Its the exact book for my class.
I am very happy that this is the book needed for a class starting soon. It was reasonably priced being cheaper than some of the used books on sale, is brand new and it is such a relief to have it before the class starts rather than making multiple purchases on a budget that does not allow much deviation.

Over-priced and antiquated. Mistakes abound
In the publishers haste to make a profit off of poor students, they failed to properly update the questions/solutions (after 15 edits, there should be zero mistakes) and therefore many mistakes abound. If I could give it zero stars I would. This book will come in handy only if the world of surveying takes a 50-year step backwards.

This is one of the worst textbooks I have seen to date across all categories
If I could give it zero stars I would. This is one of the worst textbooks I have seen to date across all categories. It is near impossible to find the solutions to problems in it using the text alone. Half of the questions asked are not covered in the chapter preceding it. The author clearly makes way to many assumptions about someones knowledge and created questions based on those assumptions.
