Absolutely perfect for small models quite light, but really flat no movement good quality

Okay for fine hobby stuff
cheap and useful for low torque simple hobby stuff but if you're drilling even at a low speed/small bit/Dremel kinda stuff get a small table vice instead. I like it for an "extra pair of hands" for fiddly things when working on my air rifles but that's about it. I could see this being useful for modelling or similar..

It worked for what I needed
About the sturdiness, I guess I should say the action was a little loose but once tightened down with it's two types of soft jaws it did the job without maring my watches. It provided the holding power I needed to loosen my watch backs.

I should have known...
A vice without guides to keep the jaws aligned and stable is not going to work, something this is a great example of. Utter nonsense. I could kick myself for not keeping the box.
