I recently had an issue with my toilet running and was unable to get a plumber to come out and take a look at it. However, I was determined to find a solution to the problem and after some research, I stumbled upon a product that could potentially help me fix the issue - the Toilet Flapper. I decided to give it a try and was pleasantly surprised by the results. The product was easy to install and worked like a charm. I no longer hear the annoying sound of running water all day and my toilet has been working great ever since. Overall, I am very pleased with the Toilet Flapper and would highly recommend it to anyone who is experiencing similar issues with their toilet. I have become quite the plumber, thanks to YouTube videos. My fill valve and flapper had gone bad and my toilet was making a funny scary sound after every flush. I ordered the full set but the valve that came with the fill valve was not heavy enough to stay down after every use. I got tired of reaching in and pushing it down all the time so I purchased this flapper hoping it would be better and it was. This particular model has a better chain than the one that comes complete with the valve. This one works perfectly and I have since bought a second one for my other bathroom. The price is great, it's easy to install and works exactly as it should. It also has a dial that you can turn, to use more or less water. Great product and I highly recommend.

My toilet USED to have an annoying little trickle, but otherwise it worked fine. I, being a genius, decided to "fix" it. I decided to replace the flapper with a brand new one, and this new flapper works fine - as long as I hold it down with my finger. As soon as I let go, the flapper starts letting water into the bowl. It's a seal; it should seal properly. That was my one expectation of this product. On the plus side, the installation was very easy. e: I weighed it down with some nickels and let it sit overnight, and it seems to be sealing completely now. I'm not sure what made the difference.

It installs easily and quickly. The only problem I had was the chain was too short to reach the handle arm. I wish they would have made the length adjustable. But I was very happy with the ability to adjust how much water it allows to flow before the flapper closes. It is a pretty ingenious way it works. By just turning the top of the flapper it somehow changes how soon the flapper drops to close the water flow. I had a tough time to decide on 4 or 5 star. 4 star for the chain shortness which added time for installation to connect old chain to the chain which came with it, but 5 star for how well it works and ease of installation.

Lasted about 7 months before chlorine tablets messed them up. Not very chlorine-resistant compared to the original from the manufacturer, which lasted several years.

It is exactly as depicted. The plastic is fairly thick for what it is, so considering its placement I think it will last a very very long time. The one we had prior was entirely made of rubber and it had sagged and torn over time, leaving an endless flow of water that racked up an extra $50/m on our city bill. Putting this on was SUPER easy, I am a woman (and certainly not a plumber) and I had no problem clicking it into place or attaching the chain to the lever. I love the price, very fair. As mentioned, the top cap is plastic, but I find that beneficial. Firstly, it will not sag as the old one did. Secondly, it makes movement easy, as its quick to lift and quick to drop. Mind you this toilet is in my young children's room, so they need something that doesnt require excess effort to flush. Highly recommend.

I recently found that there was a constant trickle of water from the toilet cistern into the pan. The cistern has a Fluid Master flapper valve that I fitted in 2011 and I noticed that when it was in the shut position it wasn't forming a water tight seal any more. After lots of fiddling about and no success (in fact, I ended up making things worse so that the trickle became a proper flow!), I discovered through blogs that the flapper mechanism often become distorted after typically 5 years of use and need to be replaced. There's no need to replace the whole flush mechanism, just the red valve. I ordered a replacement flapper valve and installed it within 10 minutes (the bit that took longest was fiddling to get the chain to the right length). Note that Fluid Master produces 3 variants of the flapper valve - the one I needed was a 502, so should you need to replace yours please just check that yours looks the same as this one; if not, it could be a 501 or 504 variant.

Works perfect, fixed my problem. Has a dial on it to re-size and be universal.
