These are not stainless steel, just very low quality glass and a wrapper of tin around it. Lid is plastic.

Nice but not as advertised
I would buy them again, they are great, but they are oddly nowhere near as advertised. I highly recommend not washing them, but just wiping them down as water DOES get trapped between metal and glass and 1 already had a little rust inside the metal upon arrival. I have them drying at an angle with a towel below them though the interior where food goes is totally dry. However they are a great plastic free option, good value and yet also like they are safer than just glass as they are for cereal, so the kids will be using them themselves. Another reviewer is also correct regarding the lids.
