Good sturdy unit.
I personally would have preferred screws but I know many prefer to put together without. You have to hammer the pieces into slots. Nothing arduous. Literally 2-3 times. Sorted. The unit is solid, robust and heavier to move than you probably imagine. It will last years. I bought some storage cubes afterwards. Two per shelf. Made the whole thing look really good. I ended up buying a 2nd set so that I could put two on each shelf
