I started out with adding a 1TB SSD shortly after purchasing my PS5. In the 6 months that followed, I have maxed out my internal and m.2 storage. So I bought this one, and the performance is still really good, but my storage space on the m.2 has doubled. I did have to transfer all my games from the old m.2 to the new one, but now I use my old m.2 as a USB-C attached storage, so if I need to make room, now I can offload them to the external USB storage instead and bring them back when I need them, instead of deleting and re-installing. 2TB is still not a lot of storage, but when prices come down on storage, I might consider a bigger one. For now, this is a great value, and with the built-in heat sink, installation was super fast and easy.

Solved my memory issue and it was easy to install

What can I say, the PS5 fills up pretty quick with the size of games these days. This little NVMe drive installs quickly and easily, and now I have plenty of space to download all of the games my daughter and I play together... and sure, a few that are just mine too! Performance is very speedy and I can't really tell any difference between the OEM and this SSD as far as load times go. Both are WAY faster than even a really good USB drive used externally (where all of my PS4 games reside). Just bite your lip and click "buy"... the price will only hurt for a minute (it's not THAT bad, after all), but you'll love it every time you don't have to wait forever for your games to load on the PS5.

My son love the additional space that this drive provides. Very fast and is compatible with his PS5. Built very strong, and does not create allot of heat.

Easy plug and play worth the space.

It was compatible with my PS5. It has great performance and speed. It is able to save with no glitches and reads the files fast when opening programs. It does sometimes sound like the fans are running extra loud on start up just blow the system out and it sounds much better.

I used this in my PS5 for over a year and it has shown no signs of slowing down. I recently switched it over to a PS5 Pro and it still works great. All games have worked and it has never had any compatibility issues. Heat sink works great and has never had an issue with overheating.

I bought the PS5 version of this SSD for my PS5 and couldn't be happier. Install was VERY easy. Watch a youtube video to make sure you're pulling the side panel off correctly, and its way less effort that some folks make you believe. The only thing I took pause on is the screw for the SSD (and spacer) was already installed in the hole further out from the one you need for the length of this SSD. Just remove that screw and spacer, put the spacer under the SSD screw notch once you have the drive in the slot and screw it all down. Piece of cake. Less than 5 minutes start to finsh and the PS5 knew it was there immediately upon started and prompted for format. Moving files from Ps5 drive to the new SSD is blazing fast! Buy it, you wont be disappointed.

After sone research, I found this is at the time (2022) one of the best performing SSD storage devices for PS5. I would definitely recommend anything from 2TB upwards, as the PS5 is known for not having much memory especially if you’ve come from PS4. Saved games really do take up a load of space (Call of Duty), so it’s key you buy a fairly large SSD so it’s future proof. Installing the SSD is fairly easy. I highly recommend watching some of the install content on YouTube before attempting to avoid any issues.

Lo tengo en ps5 pro montado sin problemas

Got this to expand the profile storage on my original PS5 disc-less console. Install was really simple once I found a YouTube video to show how to get the side panel off. If you have even built your own PC or even upgraded RAM in a laptop you’ll be fine doing this upgrade. It’s painless. The PS5 software recognized the SSD right away when I booted it up, I let it format automatically and made it my default storage location for new games. So basically it’s the right thing for the job and it works great. Much faster, simpler and more useful than the external USB hard drive I have been using up until now for overflow and older games.
