Gas cap cord connecting cap to fuel tank door broke in less than a month. Lexus factory installed gas cap with cord connector lasted over 22 years with no cord issues at all. I researched and paid more for this gas cap replacement with this cord feature when there were several other options with no cord feature that was “compatible” with my vehicle. If I wanted a gas cap without a cord I would have purchased one. Now I have a gas cap with half a cord hanging on the fuel door and half a cord sticking out the side of the gas cap. Not happy.
