Dark Kings Series
This novella (short story) is #11.5 in the series, "Dark Kings" by author; Donna Grant. I really enjoyed reading this novella (short story, there's actually a small answer to one of the many plot twist that have been building throughout the entire series, NO, it's not the answer everyone that has read the series has been asking and waiting for =). This story actually takes place in Venice, Italy and the HOT Scottish alpha male that's able to shift into his natural form as a dragon is on a serious mission only to be swept away by his intended target. The romance was sizzling and yes, there's some heartbreak, lots of action in this novella (short story) and the suspense in regards to the continuing build on the plot twist! If you are in a book rut, then this series and author are definitely worth a try! You won't be disappointed! It will definitely take you on a dragon ride!

I have read nearly every book written by this author and I thoroughly enjoy them all -- but her Dark Kings series is my favorite and I read every one of them more than once. Yes, these are hunky guys and the sex is pretty good and there's actually a great continuing story line with characters who are so well defined I am always engaged -- even when months pass before another book comes out. If you are new to this series I strongly suggest you start at the beginning to thoroughly enjoy the series. Yes, Con's story is going to be revealed and there's always the question of Rhi and will she or won't she finally tell us.Sebastian's story was of necessity short and in typical dragon form. All the elements are here, it's a quick read, but he was quite interesting and I would have liked to have a longer story. Perhaps he and his Gianna will show up in another book and we can read more of their story.

Dragon Burn
Definite yes to Dragon Burn.. Sebastian aka Bast is the male lead and Gianna Santinni is his leading lady. Bast sets out to Italy to find the truth about Mikkel and Ulrik but what he finds is his mate. Bast is alittle different then the other Kings he is actually trying to free Ulrik. He doesn't believe his old friend is behind everything that has happened. In the end will the truth be told ?? We do finally get more information about Mikkel and Druid who is behind all the mind control. More questions and more answers...Happy Reading!!!

4.5 stars
4.5 starsSebastian was once close to Ulrik and is doing everything he can to prove that he isn’t behind all of the attacks. He goes to Venice to gather information about Mikhel by way of his secretary Gianna. What he doesn’t expect is to be instantly attracted to her and want to protect her.I really liked Sebastian and Gianna’s quick and steamy relationship. I really enjoyed the masquerade ball scene. *fans face*I am quite interested in seeing what will Rhi do about the light fae court and Usaeil. Things are also changing for Ulrik and I can’t wait to see his choices in the future.

Well written!
I love the name Sebastian and I'm in a HUGE paranormal mood lately. It 's all I want to read. That said, I loved this book. No, I hadn't read anything from this series beforehand. But I've since fixed that oversight. I've devoured the group of novellas called Dark Heat and book one, Darkest Flame. I've bought the first 5 books and will be devouring them in order. That's what this book did to me.Okay, I love dragons. I love strong women who bring strong men to their knees. I love how those strong men are super protective and how adorable they are as they figure out they've lost their heart. Add to that all the paranormal stuff and I'm hooked.I NEEDED the back story. What is going on in this world where dragons are not know but actually belonged here before humans. Why are they fighting another dragon? Why do they protect humans? Why do they hide who they are?The characters are well written with lots of depth. Sebastian is determined to help an old friend that he feels he let down. He goes against his king to try to gain information only to fall for the love of a woman. Gianna is doing her own kind of hiding after a bad divorce. Sebastian brings her back to herself. They are right for each other. The story is fast paced and full of yummy moments. It's also full of danger and mysteries that the Kings have been facing and still need to figure out. It definitely had me wanting more.If you haven't fallen into this series yet and you enjoy the paranormal side of romance, then get on this series and quick!

Dragon Burn
Long ago Bast made a promise to always stand by Ulrik sends him on a mission to figure out who is attacking the Dragon Kings. If there is any proof it is Mikkel doing most of the things to the Kings he wants to find it. The best way if for him to use his personal assistant in Italy. I loved Bast and he quickly made the list as one of my favorite Kings (that list is getting longer and longer). Gianna was perfect for him right down to her own dragon tattoo.

enjoyable story and characters
This one I knew what to expect because I accidentally read past it and so it is referenced in the books that follow, so there were no big surprises. But that didn’t take away from an enjoyable story, and I liked Sebastian and Gianna. It isn’t my favorite, but I think that is only because I felt like I had already read it before. It has all of the great traits of a DG book and a DK novel-- adventure, passion, intrigue, and excitement.

Hurrah !!!
As long as I've been reading the stories of Dragons written by Donna Grant there has never been one I didn't like. She has humor, understanding, patience, love and knowledge of all things and she knows how to put those words on paper to relate what she is trying to tell you of the story, characteristics of each person in her story. I'm sure there is more Donna Grant 's in this world but only one that can write a story that makes my heart sing. Carry on Donna!!!

Loved it - 5 stars!!!
I am a massive fan of Donna Grant's books so I was delighted to be able to get my hands on this novella which is part of the 1001 Dark Nights Series and also book 11.5 in the Dark King series which features my favourites - the Dragon Kings!!The book is only a novella but it crams in as much for me as one of the full length novels. I loved the story and the character of Gianna was great, the rest of the characters are pretty much well known from the other books in the series and this features several of the Dragon Kings in main roles, not just the normal one so I had even more of a treat! It is an excellent book and I am so glad that I saved reading it to cheer me up!Five stars from me and looking forward to reading more from Donna in her new series that releases later on this month! She is definitely one of my favourite authors!!
