Citrus Vol. 6

The plot thickens.
This volume basically sets up the arc between both school academies. Mei is taking bold steps to lead Aihara Academy towards a prosperous future, while Yuzu learns to deal with a green monster. It was lovely seeing the gang- Harumin, Matsuri and Nene, though Matsuri with her straightforward comments made Yuzu worry. Let's see how this Festival works out.

An addictive series
This is definitely one of those soap opera style series that just catches you and refuses to let go. I can see why volumes are constantly out of stock with how the story just keeps drawing me in. I want to see them find happiness, at the end of each volume I just have to know what happens next. Highly recommend this!

Plans that go awry
After the election, Yuzu wants to move forward with her relationship with Mei so she writes out a plan. But when Mei discovers it, can the two of them bring it to fruition? Then Yuzu wants to get a present for Mei, so she sneaks around at a part time job. But will past friends and a rival for her affection bring things crashing around her? This volume seems to be a turning point for the girls, not just in their love but as people. Yuzu is still trying hard to figure out her heart and Mei is doing the same, but not showing it. This has been a great series, shame we have to wait so long for the next one.

Amazing series!
This is my first time reading a yuri manga and I absolutely am enjoying it. The writing is amazing. I love the sense of realism in it too with the final scene of her old friends making her feel bad. There’s people like that in this world but we can’t get wrapped up in the people who tear us down but those who support and do right by us. And the character development of Yuzu’s childhood friend is really good too! I’m addicted to this story and could reread the manga again!

It's Yuri for the story-lover.
Every time I think the story can't get any better, Saburouta surprises me. Seriously, why aren't you already reading this series? If you enjoy romance and those confusing feelings you get towards another, then pick up Citrus. With delightful characters, relatable comedy, and sweep-you-off-your-feet romance that will leave you eagerly awaiting the next volume. Not bogged down with fan-service or stupid side-kicks, Citrus is a refreshing tale of two people figuring out what it means to be in love. The self-doubt when a new wrench gets thrown into the works, the little fights that feel like the end-of-the-world, and the heartbreakingly beautiful realizations that no matter what, love conquers all.

Best volume so far
My favorite volume so far. Mei and Yuzu are trying to grasp the concept of 'dating' and its not only enjoyable to read their awkward interpretation of that, but their relationship makes tangible progress. The art and humor is in top form, and this volume is mostly free of third party drama that plagued previous volumes. This book also includes an extra chapter at the end that made me chuckle at the times spicy food was mentioned throughout the volume.

Citrus Vol. 6
Finally, Yuzu and Mei get to go a date. :) I like Vol. 6 as lot. Very engaging plot. The author does a very job capturing all the emotions. The ring scene at the end is very touching. On to Vol. 7....

absolutely the best yuri out there
absolutely the best yuri out there. well defined and interesting characters -- each with their own strengths and flaws.the translation is top notch - it's not dry or stiff nor does it make stuff up to be clever. plus, a lot of the monikers like "-chan","-san", and "-oneechan" are left in to maintain the cultural "feel" of the manga.

1st proper date.
Can't help but to keep egging them on, a highly planned out first date and a pair of wedding rings? Great artwork, great story. What's not to love.

Volume 6 was (so far) the best volume yet.
Although I appreciated the darker begining of the series (Citrus has a much darker begining than most romcom manga, whether theyr are Yuri or not), I noticed that by volume 4, things started to get a lot more lighthearted, and the lightheartedness of the series spikes on volume 6. Although there are still some taboo moment (we are talking about step sisters dating, after all), I thought volume 6 had muc more humor than the rest of the series thus far (Especially regarding Yuzu's notebook. I won't spoil it for you)
