Well-built and hefty for its size. One of the best features of this speaker is that is has separate volume up/down and track next/back buttons, a rare find these days. And the steps of the volume button (at least for playing music off an SD card) are granular enough that it doesn't go from very very quiet to too loud with one click. You can really shape the volume to your liking and setting. I play music from micro SD card which I know is a rare case these days. I also like that it has a physical slide on/off switch. I don't have to push and hold and then cycle through a bunch of annoying loud announcements "BLUTOOTH!" FM RADIOI" "SD CARD!". I turn it on and as long as the card is inserted, it immediately plays. The sound is crisp and well balanced, although at low to medium volumes there is not a lot of low end or bass. Some more low end or a way to EQ the sound would be nice. For casual background listening on the go, it's great.

This is the third speaker I bought from last year to this year. Either the sound is too low or it breaks down after a short time of use. I have used this speaker for two consecutive days. As soon as it was turned on and the sound came out, I felt that it was much more comfortable to listen to than the previous one I bought. The mid-range is very full and the bass is thick. The workmanship is also good. It feels heavy in the hand. I like speakers with a sense of weight. Those that are too light always feel that they cannot carry the sound and are easy to break. Of course, this is my personal feeling. I am still very satisfied with this speaker at the moment. I hope it is worth the money and can be used for a long time. Don't let me down.

This portable speaker has a clear sound, easy to use buttons that are clearly marked and a simple on/off switch. My only complaint is the sd card sticks out rather than slotting into the speaker fully; it has to be placed in the box to protect it during transport. Otherwise it makes a great music player for my travelling therapy practice.

I just wanted to keep listening to podcasts on my ipod shuffle in my car and everywhere. Despite people making fun of me, I don't want to use my phone for everything, it's annoying. Cars don't have that kind of port anymore. It was hard to find a speaker with a port, but this works perfectly and is better than my speaker that died. I started hearing a tone from the speaker but that just means the battery is low. The directions do not tell you that. Still testing out the battery life but I'm happy with this speaker. Update after about 1 year: I do not like this speaker anymore. The port where you plug in your device kept needing adjustment to connect, until I was forced to hold it by pressing toward the right, just to get sound. I could sometimes rig it to play without having to apply this pressure, but eventually something in the port seemed to break completely and now it's useless. I can't plug anything into the hole, it's too loose. I'm contacting customer service to see if I can get a refund.

One of my best purchases. I use it almost every day. Battery last forever. Very happy.

This speaker might be great for other purposes, but I bought it for USB play and it did not work. I am writing the review to help others interested in USB play, because at the time of this writing all the details about USB are not listed in the online product description. When troubleshooting, I read in the user guide that the flash drive needs to be 32 GB or under and in FAT32 format. I was frustrated that I had to purchase the product to find this out, since I had purchased two 64 GB flash drives along with this product. That said, I did manage to dig up a 32 GB flash drive and re-formatted it to FAT32. It still did not work. The item is only supposed to switch to the mode used to play USB, when a USB drive is inserted. However, instead whenever a USB drive was inserted, the item switched into FM radio mode. So I gave up and returned it.

So far this this speaker has been in constant use, all day, seven days a week, connected to power, at rather high volume, for 7 months without a problem. The sound is very good quality. It is used to play music from a USB memory stick.

*****UPDATE AFTER SELLER REACH-OUT***** The seller reached out to me and provided a product replacement. I haven't tried it yet and I'm anxious that the micro-USB charge port may be faulty in general. But I'm hoping that I just happened to get a bad unit. The seller, though, stands by their products. They replaced my stereo even though it failed one day after the 30-day Amazon returns period. I'm very appreciative of that. ******UPDATED REVIEW, 1-MONTH LATER****** From the very beginning, the micro-USB port by which this unit charges was difficult to work with. No matter what micro-USB cord I used, they wouldn't fit into the charging port smoothly. But I was so excited to have a speaker with only one bright LED light, SD-card functionality, and a simple on/off switch instead of those dang long-press buttons, I just put up with it. Then on day #31--one day after the 30-day return window--the USB port stopped accepting ANY micro-USB charging cable. So now I can't charge the speaker. ****ORIGINAL REVIEW***** We've bought DOZENS of Bluetooth speakers in the past five years. We hate most of them. They've got ugly, obnoxious lights so we can't use them at night. Or they SCREAM at us every time we turn them on OR off, so forget about using them in relaxing settings or late at night. Or they require you break out a novel while your sitting next to them holding down the on/off button, waiting 'til it feels you've been pressing it long enough to actually turn on or off. Or every time you turn the machines on, you have to go through a litany of button-presses to navigate a maze of "modes" to get back to the SINGLE mode YOU use every time. They're such a pain, we're selling "high end" Bluetooth speakers for pennies on the dollar b/c we hate using them. We LOVE this little machine because it lacks all of the above problems. The on/off switch is a simple slider. Whatever the last mode you used before turning the machine off, that's the mode the machine starts up in when you turn it back on. The functions we actually use--SD card, USB, and AUX--all just work. To boot, the sound quality is decent for a machine this small. The only caveat is despite the lack of pulsating nightclub lights, there is a strong BLUE light on deep inside the machine when it's "ON." If you use this machine in a dark room, this sensor light does shine out strongly. Enough so I have to position the speaker in just the right way so I can hear what I'm playing at night while NOT getting an eyefull of ugly blue light. I wish BT speaker companies would stop stuffing these obtrusive lights in their machines. We don't need a reminder that a machine we turned on is ... ON. If you're looking for a no-nonsense little machine JUST to play sounds YOU want without all the fuss, this is a solid little stereo. Minus a star for the bright blue indicator light that ruins night-time playing. We'll update our review if anything changes. So far, we're happy with the speaker (except for the light).
