Excellent and most versatile, when you can get the lid off..!
We have been using this ointment for a number of years. Now we can buy it as a yeti pack, great to have one on the car and the other at home. Please see my photos. The first thing that we do, consider it a must, is to somehow get the tin first opened and then smear a small amount of it on the inside of the lid. That way when you apply the lid to close it you have an easier times of removing it.! The ointment itself is so versatile and therapeutic. It did have a mild smell, not overpowering at all and considered pleasant, rather than antiseptic. It is grease based, so on dry skin only a small amount is needed, any excess will not rub in. Applying to cuts or abrasions did not seem to sing, but helps with healing. We have also used it relieve nettle seeing itching, works surprisingly well. Even our family members who have certain skin sensitivities are fine using this. Overall, it does seem to be most versatile and long lasting. The only criticism, as mentioned, is it is very difficult to get the lid off initially. Very much recommended, excellent price.

Genuine product, manufactured in England.
I bought this knowing that it wasn't the South African version but also knowing it was perfectly legit and I'll explain why. Zambuk originated in Leeds, England and became so popular in South Africa, Australia and New Zealand that it was assumed to be a local product. There is indeed a Zambuk that is produced in South Africa by The Real Makoya (the smaller one in my photos) but this bigger one is produced in England. The Zambuk brand has been owned by several companies and was briefly discontinued in England in 1994, but picked up in 1996 by Rose & Co who make this bigger tin. The formula differs very very slightly from the South African one due to access to ingredients, but they are 99% the same product, both genuine, both Zambuk and both containing the same active ingredients, unchanged for over 100 years. This is not a fake product, and I'd go as far as to say I prefer it as it is slightly less sticky. I buy it mainly for eczema as it doesn't sting, and dry patches but it has many uses and is still the same effective balm that it was 100 years ago. You still need the TINIEST bit or it won't soak in and nobody wants to be covered in grease. I'm that impressed, I've bought the Rose & Co Rose Balm as well.

Little fiddly but works ok
Why did you choose this product over others?: Tin is very very hard to open. You have to somewhat squiggle it off. The product itself is a essential oil type of balm. It helped me with perioral dermatitis when it was weepy. I no longer use it but it did help a bit until i stopped using it

Great item as a healing salve and daily lip care too.
I didn’t need more than 1 because it lasts for ages though actually it’s handy having one in the handbag too. It really is soothing on bites&scatches though most of the time I use it as a lip salve - a pleasant light fresh flavour.
