I like that it helps define my curls and if you use the hair dryer defuser to assist with the hold even better.

i was very excited to try this gel and i’m happy i got my hands on it. you get a lottt of product in it. it is so good at clumping curls and when i dry my hair under the hooded dryer after applying, my curls do get super crunchy and def has a gel cast, which i like. pero be careful w what position you dry your hair in. the gel will lock your style into place for sure which is a big pro. the ingredients are very clean and great. the smell is like a literal shot, strawberry alcohol, pero as soon as it dries the smell completely goes away, just in case you’re not a big fan of fragrances or are afraid it will clash w your other products. now the other thing is that this gel for some reason does not mix well with a lot of other products, sadly the ones i own 😩 two of them being the knot today leave in by kinky curly, and curl love by camille rose. if anything it does mix well with the shea moisture honey and yogurt mousse and coconut shea curl defining cream by eden bodyworks (i highlyyy recommend that cream) it’s going to be annoying finding products that will work w this, pero i guess it’s trial and error bla bla whatever. i’m looking forward to how it holds up in heat and humidity, as i live in miami. update- it holds up well in heat and humidity. so far i like it and can’t complain, not 100% sure i will repurchase due to the big price and i’m sure there are gels with similar ingredients that are far cheaper. i give it a 4/5 (:

I love a well defined wash and go. A staple of mine has reformulated their recipe and it just doesn't hold up to the high humidity any longer. I tried Ecoslay and I'm beyond satisfied. Rock solid elongated definition. Last over a week. The 1st picture is of my hair styling product free, the 2nd is freshly applied but fully dry Ecoslay curls. The 3rd photo is today, over a week later.

I use this with castor oil and it's not as hard. LITTERALLLLLLYYY Keeps my hair in place at most, 3 weeks.....experimented many times on wet and damp hair works well every time. it also has a unique way of absorbing excess water this is probably due to the variety of moisture-attracting plant ingredients and Is would close to edible lol. Anything I use has to be close to edible so I approve. On my second purchase because I was afraid I wouldn't get another one in time. I have short hair above shoulders the first one lasted 3 months with regular use, you do not need a lot if your hair is a little damp. If I wanted to refresh my curls I just spray water and run my hands through to wake up the product you do not need to add any more product, or just use wet hand or if you dont want water overload just let the shower get steamy and it still attracts the moisture....... KEEP refrigerated stays fresher because of its "living or natural" ingredients. Give this a try, it's worth exploring that's is what I did and I am forever loyal. My hair is rarely tangled because it stayed stretched, hydrated, and in place for a long time. This is the longest I have gone without trimming my ends. And if you're a careful shopper like myself, who looks for honest reviews before making a purchase trust this one, I beyond recommend so try it, my hair is very curly so take your texture into consideration.NO flakesNO crunch
