Decent price. Figures are amazing and very detailed.

I didnt order this on Amazon I got it straight from japan before Amazon had it listed on here. But I noticed the other reviews being very negative on it so I thought id share my experience. My figure again came straight from japan but in every other way should be exactly the same as one you would order anywhere else, and I havnt noticed any issues with paint quality or major QC issues with either of the two figures included. Both look great and the detail is amazing. One interesting thing to note (which may or may not be the reason others are having issues I honestly dont know) is that on the wings it appears they didnt use regular paint like they would for the majority of the figure, but instead used some kind of decal which was likely applied with heat to make it permanently bond. Or some simular process as there is a every so slightly noticeable border around these "decals" where the color is slightly glossier. This makes complete sense to me tho considering it would be very difficult if not impossible to paint all the figures wing markings and expect them to all look identical.the stand the figure comes with is alil awkward but is completely functional, I havnt decided yet if this is how I will be displaying my figure or not yet but if you chose to do so it would work fairly well I imagine but is alil wobbly which makes me nevous.Mothra's larva figure looks great and has a glossy wash over the entire figure which makes it look alil wet and icky like you would imagine a real bug looking. Good enough that I managed to prank some friends online with a picture I took of the figure! haha.My only gripe about the larva figure is that on my figure the joints are pretty loose, which might of been how it was made, or might of been due to shipping all that way and then being shipped here in FL during the hot seasons. But either way its alil disapointing as I was really hoping to pose her in the classic position where her head is up high like she is spraying her web stuff you see her do in many of the films. But this isnt a massive issue, I can still do this with some simple sloping scenery if I choose to display her that way.Mothra's adult form is almost flawless, the eyes look spectacular , you really do feel like your looking at one of the original prop's eyes with the way the glimmer with each small "bump" on their inside. her mouth is fully articulating and her legs feel alil stronger than ive heard the previous mothra's legs were (but Im only going on what ive heard) And each one is again fully articulating, Even her tail bit is super aticulated at EACH STRIPE so you could pose that how you want aswell. Which is amazing as I can only recall a few moments in a few select films mothra has ever even moved this in the movies.My only gripe with her is that for me one of her wings is EXTREMELY stiff, so much so I dare not risk trying to force it, however its in a fairly "neutral" position so it should be that much of a big deal for me, And if I thought it was this could be fixed with alil bit of hairdrying and some soapy water im sure that then id be able to pose it however I want.Overall the figures are amazing and I feel like I got my money's worth. and I think this set is a great option for anyone who wants both versions of mothra or anyone who just wants a good mothra figure for their collection.

QC issues! Do not buy!

I ordered this web exclusive through the Premium Bandai website, which was a first for the company, becausethey normally use Bluefin as their distributor for North America. When I received the order, I noticed the left mandible of the Adult Mothra was broken, and the broken piece was not in the packaging, which tells me that it broke in the factory.I replied to their courtesy email, and they immediately replied back, but the message wasn't very clear, the email was kind of written in broken English, and I've heard through another collector/reviewer that customer service hides behind a language barrier, but I decided to give them a shot.I received a call from Bandai America CS from Compton, CA. and they had it straightened out. It took about 2 months from the date of my complaint to the date I finally received a replacement figure.The right mandible this time has paint dried over the joint, so I don't recommend moving it because this would chip the paint and may even break the part. I've watched an unboxing where the paint was over the joint of the antenna, and the reviewer chipped the paint as he moved it.This is the same figure as the original release, except it seems like they took the original release and painted a night scheme color on top of it,this is evident because you can see the original color if you move the joints of the abdomen, the paint just seems very thick as it has frozen some joints. I have no complaints over the larva version or the beam effects. I appreciate this release, since I missed out on the original, which I have yet to find a reasonable price for, even with this new version out.
