Shakespeare made fun and easy (well easier)
Helped my students with special needs understand Macbeth! Next up, Hamlet! The kids love it and the words are pretty much the exact same as the more formally studied versions.

An alternative to the traditional Shakespeare!
If the thought, of reading anything Shakespeare makes your 8-12 grade students eyes glaze over, or plays just aren't their thing, this book just might help them get through it. I used this along with William Shakespeare & the Globe, by Aliki, for background, Spark Notes Shakespeare, as a guide, to round out a high school literature course. I didn't hear any complaints and my student, surprisingly was the initiator of many conversations involving Shakespeare. I'd call that a success.I didn't give it 5 stars because I thought the comic illustrations were busy and a bit on the dark side of drama. Then again, most of Shakespeare's plays are that way, i.e. dark. This book might appeal more to boys than girls, unless your gal has a dark sense of humor. You never know.

Easy book if you don't want to try and read the real thing
I am aware of my ignorance when it comes to Shakespeare. I wanted to be able to answer Questions on Shakespeare on Quiz shows. This is the ideal book for that, in cartoon form with all the main characters identified. So a good book for learning about Shakespeare. Would be helpful for children. It is in plain English.
