Effective Paint Mixer
The Litkiwi paint mixer attachment was ordered for use when I am preparing to paint. This is an effective paint mixer. With its 1/4 inch shank, it fits several of my drills and impact drivers. The blades are made of polypropylene (plastic) and are thick enough to mix paint efficiently. I did not try this mixer with anything other than paint though the product description indicates it can also be used to mix resins and epoxy. The shaft is made of carbon steel and appears to be sturdy. After using the mixer, it was found to be easy to clean especially with a latex based paint.BOTTOM LINE: This is an effective, inexpensive paint mxing paddle. It is easy to use and easier to clean. At its competitive price, I would order this tool again.

Excellent paint mixer
This paint mixer works great. It's easy to attach to the drill and works like a charm. You attach in the same way you would a drill bit and then get to work mixing the paint. I wish the flaps on the mixer were a tad longer as I think it would help mix the paint a little bit faster. However, it does the job well, and if you have a fully charged drill, it shouldn't take you more than a couple of minutes to take completely separated paint and turn it into usable paint. 10/10 would definitely recommend it.

The perfect paint stirrer!
I mistakenly bought a different paint stirrer only to find that it was too tiny and didn’t fit the extension my husband has for his drill. This one is absolutely perfect. It is the perfect length, at just over ten inches long, to reach the bottom of a paint can and as my husband was doing some touch up painting in our utility room today after it arrived, it was the perfect time to test it out. He was using plain old white latex paint that hadn’t been used for a few months so naturally needed a good stir. The blades on the stirrer worked like a charm, mixing up the separated paint in just a few minutes. He said it popped right into his drill with no problem and held firm with no slipping at all. The metal material of the shank feels well made and has no sharp edges or burrs on it, what I consider signs of cheap materials. The plastic wings are just the right size to get a good mixture without causing any splashing or flinging paint on the floor. When starting the drill, begin slowly at first and we mixed it using an up and down motion as well as side to side to get a good mix. Clean up was very easy too, first wiping the stirrer with a paper towel and then soap and water for finish cleaning. Excellent purchase that I know will come in handy for years.

When it comes to painting, success or failure is in the mixing.
When it comes to painting, whether you are using a brush, roller, or sprayer, thoroughly mixing the paint is key. That's why all the home centers, paint stores, hardware stores, and big box stores give you those free paint stirring sticks. I mean, besides the free advertizing, of course. Those sticks do the job, but it takes a lot of time and effort to get the paint thoroughly mixed whern using one of those sticks. Using a paint mixer drill attachment like one of these does the job in minutes. These are a great deal at only $8.99 a pop.The bad thing about using one of these drill attachment is that you can end up with a spatter problem if you don't keep them fully submerged and start the drill at a slow speed. What I do is use a paint can cover as a spatter shield. All I did was drill a hole in the center of the cover and ran the mixer shaft through the hole before securing it in my drill's chuck. Holding the lid shield down on the open can does away with the spatter problem.

Easier than shaking the paint can!
Whenever I buy paint the store mixes it thoroughly for me. But once home the paint begins to separate pretty quickly. So if I have a multi-day paint task, or if I need to do touch-up painting later, I try to imitate the paint shaker at the store, but with much less vigor than that machine delivers. And those free paint mixing sticks from the store are appreciated, but really don't do a great job either. So I end up with modestly mixed paint. But with this paint mixer I can now grab my drill, load this into the chuck, and do a thorough mix job right at home in just a minute or two. In fact, I intend to do some painting over the coming weekend so this tool will be pressed into duty. And once the paint is mixed just dip this mixer into a bucket of water, run it for a few seconds, and it's ready for the next job. This is a tool that will go into our paint bin along with edgers, rollers, etc.
