A Beast Of Power
The perfect Flashlight. I have always wanted a flashlight to have, best of both worlds. wide beam to light up my surroundings and distance. tried many, I spend all of my free time on the river and lakes. Going through the woods, I need to see a wide view and distance. I also wade in the water and I have dropped my flashlights and water proof and Tough is a must. I wanted a flashlight to be able to withstand harsh weather. The bulbs and batteries are the Key here. You have the XHP50 a new generation of Cree XLAMPs that incorporate its innovative SC5 Technology™, a platform that doubles the lumens, or light output, of a single LED. 6 of them. Batteries are the the New Generation 21700, 3 of them and are highly available and serious performance. My friend bought a very nice flashlight, one that I would own myself. He and I couldn't find any good 26650 in stock, there fading out. so what good is a flashlight if you cant get batteries for, yes there are a lot of cheap no brands and are not worth the purchase of them. I have 2 flashlights now using 21700 batteries and will own more with these batteries. I strongly recommend the Molicel 21700 P45B Batteries. This flashlights Mechanical Switch is a God send. 3 modes, Low, Medium and High. Wow. Turning the mechanical dial is precise and firm, strong positive clicks, the way it should be. When holding the light, you know you have something special and of High Caliber. I cant comment on the run time of High Mode yet, but I am impressed so far. the pictures shown were in total pitch darkness, this light gave me the Wow Factor. Medium mode is satisfying and plenty bright and will give you a good 2 hours plus run time with High Drain batteries. The charging port is solid, and I have not had any problems using my different brands of USB C cords. This is a big plus, believe me, my friends new flashlight must use the cord that comes with it and use there batteries, reminds me of Apple in the day. He learned the hard way and returned it.

The KIS Flashlight For Anyone
A very powerful flashlight with a very simple and easy to use user interface. 3 modes, low, medium and high selected by a rotating ring. Even the low, listed as 1000 lumens, is powerful enough for 90%+ of normal flashlight uses as it is far brighter than a classic 4 or 5 D cell Maglite of years ago and has a claimed run time of over 6 hours with the included batteries on the low setting. The charging port is hidden under the aluminum tail cap so is much better protected than the tethered rubber caps on most USB chargeable flashlights. If you need more run time then get a spare set of batteries as this light uses individual replaceable 21700 batteries rather than a proprietary battery pack. Keep a spare set of charged batteries and you have over 12 hours of light available. Being a dive light rated for 100 meters water resistance this should make a excellent emergency light when the weather turns against you. It should ignore rain or inadvertent submersion and the quite wide flood beam reveals the terrain in front of you much better than a very narrow tunnel type beam in my opinion. The light appears to be quite solidly constructed and actually is a couple of ounces heavier than a Acebeam X50 2.0 that I have compared it to. At maximum light output both are overkill for most users and uses but that also means long run times at reduced brightness levels.

Great all-around flashlight, simple to use, well built.
Even though this flashlight is primarily marketed as a diving flashlight, it's probably one of the best all-around options I've seen so far. I reviewed it more from a normal user standpoint, than of what a flashlight nerd or diver would, and here are my takes from it: Size-wise it's on the large end, but not so large where its weight and dimensions make it a hassle like one of those huge cop maglights. It's not one that you will hold with your mouth, but you can comfortably handle it for a longer period of time, and you get plenty of power capacity in return for the larger frame. The good: - It is extremely simple to operate. It's probably the most frustration-free you can get with a flashlight aside from the simple on/off. It goes from low to high in 4 presses, remembers your last level, hold to turn off. No strobe modes in between and half-pressing buttons. Simple as that. - It has what I believe the perfect blend of a thrower and a flooder. On the pictures I compared it to both types, and the balance this model offers is just on point on my opinion. It was able to clearly illuminate the trees +400ft on the center of the image, while also covering a good area closer to my surroundings. -The built quality of the flashlight is very good. Doesn't have parts to be snagging or falling, and everything about it looks well finished. -The Samsung LEDs used on it are of very good quality and they show really well the colors (that's what the CRI level means). -The price is a good deal for what you get, you have 10000mah of capacity, waterproofing, good color rendition LEDs, very high output, for not much more than the "10000000000 lumens" crap that is for sale everywhere. The bad: Mine came with two non-matched Li-Ion batteries, where one of them had more capacity than the other. They were both new and from the same brand, but the measured capacity of them was notably different. Overall both of them together delivered all the promised capacity, but that means that fully discharging the flashlight could bring one of those batteries under the minimum recommended voltage, damaging it, and in worst case scenario causing it to leak, creating a hazardous condition. That can be avoided by not fully discharging it (that ideally should not be done to any Li-Ion battery), but since the flashlight does not have a power level indicator (it only does a double blink every 60 seconds when the overall battery charge is low, and that's too late for the weaker cell), you end up guessing when would be the ideal time to recharge them. And topping up Li-Ion batteries after every little use can be as damaging as well. My conclusion: Even taking in consideration the oversight of the manufacturer of not matching cells, I still gave a full 5 star rating because the flashlight itself definitely deserves it. It delivers everything I could expect and more for its price, and it's rare for me to find a model which does well all-around like the DL40 does.

Prompt delivery. Torch & quality is more substantial than expected. Is a gift for someone else so not tested yet under water. Modes are pretty cool. Happy to recommend both product & seller.

I am absolutely satisfied with the dive lamp. The workmanship makes a very good impression. The scope of delivery includes 1 pieces batteries, charger, O-ring, and lanyard. I bought the lamp on the recommendation of an acquaintance who has been using this lamp for a long time. torch output max 2000 lumen, bright but small, easy to carry and operation.
