I needed something to protect my hands and arms while I am cutting some of New Mexico's wicked Mesquite bushes and other natural desert shrubs. Prior to trying my new CORE Arm Protection Sleeves, the backs of my hands and my forearms were a bloody mess(being on a Blood Thinner doesn't help!). I was very surprised that for something so soft and comfy, the Sleeves completely protected me. Not a scratch after 4 hours of work. I did have a small problem with the thumb loop being uncomfortable at times... a break and a readjustment took care of it. Great sleeves! After use, they appear to still hold their snugness. I haven't washed them yet, but I'm comfortable that they will handle it well. Thay are plenty thick enough with a good weave, they should keep my arms warm, but I it doesn't get that cold here. If it did, I wouldn't be out doing yardwork. Mesquite thorns are some of the nastiest I've ever been poked with...If I tried to intentional stick one through the sleeve, it would penetrate and do some damage, but the sleeve itself is tough enough it would not be damaged.

I use these when I work on and around my tractor and around the yard. They prevent me getting my arms too beat up while working the size is perfect and using the Velcro they wrap around my arm perfectly

While I have no doubt the quality of these sleeves is high, one needs to be aware of the size. The material has minimal stretch and has a diameter of ~12 inches or so (stretched). My arm, measured at the elbow (A/C) is about 15-16 inches in diameter. I can get the sleeves on, but it's a bit like wearing a cast. I hope they loosen a bit as they're worn. So I am knocking off one star because nowhere do they mention the diameter of the sleeves, they only mention the length of 18 inches.

They're very well and adjust great I've been using them and I don't feel the heat of the fire,sun and has protected me from several cuts already 😅

Best protection in a power plant!!

After years of beating up my hands and arms doing automotive and home improvement work, I finally decided to protect my arms from cuts and scrapes. The knit fabric on these sleeves is nice and thick. They won't protect well from puncture hazards, such as nail points, but scratches, cuts and scrapes will be significantly reduced or eliminated from sharp edges. The Velcro arm band at the upper end provides the ability to wear these under or over a long sleeve shirt. The design of the hand portion allows for wearing of gloves since it only covers the upper portion of the hand and loops around the thumb. My first use was changing a faucet in a cramped space. The threads of the shutoff valves were sharp, but my arms were well-protected. I decided to buy these based on price - two pair for much less than the price of leather ones. I have welding leathers but needed something for more general work. I think these are going to work well and the price per pair is about the same as a pair of lower-end gloves. Now, all I have to do is remember to put them on. A minor abrasion on the back of my hand reminded me the first time!!

I chose this brand because of the features it has that not all brands have, that are offered at a reasonable price, and have received many favorable reviews. This purchase was an important one. It was for my s/o, who takes meds for stage 2 heart failure while continuing to enjoy his hobbies. The concerns addressed with this sleeve were primarily his wood carving and his almost daily hikes that he takes with his large, affectionate dog who has large paws with large claws. Cut resistance was important because he takes blood thinners, and UV protection was important because several of his meds can and do cause sun sensitivity for him. We both love that it has an elastic strap(?) loop(?) for the thumb (but he prefers to wear it around his middle and ring fingers, and it accommodates that) and an adjustable Velcro arm band that keep it from getting pulled down or pushed up, even by his affectionate pup. He says they are comfortable and after wearing them almost daily since receiving them, he still loves them. They work as advertised and are still holding up great. The thump loop and arm band do their job as hoped with one learning curve. The straps are well made which means stiff material that he initially wore too tight and caused bruising on one arm where the strip’s pressure increased on his bicep when he bent his arm through the day (because of his blood thinner Rx; and not likely to be a concern for the average customer), and was easily remedied because the Velcro closure = adjustability. Finally, I love the neutral color. He wears them a lot which makes me glad they don’t scream for attention with bold colors or patterns. I would recommend/have recommended them to my family. Just, don’t expect more than advertised. These are cut Resistant, not chainmail.

Edges tend to stick to the Velcro and starts to fray. Not for people with large arms. Does not go past the elbows very well and is very tight. Slightly breathable but when maxed out it can be very uncomfortable. Gave the second set away.

Good quality

Pretty decent quality for the price. I use them in an industrial setting to protect my arms from coal dust and they’re pretty good. Thumb loop is a bit small for me but I’m basically a small Sasquatch so …..
